Ordered an Undercover Armor Flex tonneau cover for my 23 Tundra Platinum shortbed. Im having a hard time getting the rail clips to fit behind the lip on the truck bed. Anyone else experienced this or have any insight on what I may be doing wrong? I took the bed rail system rails off. Thanks!

I would definitely keep the deck rails on and install it that way. If you clamp it to directly to the bedrail it will slip off periodically when shutting it

OK thanks I will try it that way. I thought that I had read that it would flex some with the deck rails in place.

i hated my undercover when i had it because it clamped to the side. No matter how tight, they slip off. After i sold it years later i upgraded to the deck rails

@Hbjeff I appreciate the advice, cover went on this afternoon without a problem using the deck rails.

You’ll like it. The undercover product itself is a high quality piece

Just curious, did you have to modify your rail system at all to install your undercover armor flex? I tried to install mine last night but doing so I realized it will make the moveable clamps inoperable. I see that BAK has "Track System Relocation Brackets" that you can buy to lower the track system as a whole so that you can use the stock clamps that come with the track system. What is the best option to still be able to use the track system? Would it be best to just buy cargo V-Ring tie downs and place them in the track system before installing the hard cover?

    Thank you in advance!

I would add more tie downs if you’re concerned. You ideally do not want to move the track, as it does a better job holding the cover down than the lip of the bed alone

Definitely use the track to mount the cover
