I'm having an issue with a 2010 Tundra that I bought just a few months ago and I'm hoping to get some thoughts from experienced Tundra owners on what the problem might be as 3 shops, including the dealership haven't been able to diagnose. When I'm maintaining speed at low rpm, every now and then I'll feel a sudden jolt or stutter. It varies in severity each time but definitely isn't a rough shift and not something to be attributed to normal vehicle function. It doesn't throw any codes or bring anything up in diagnostics. The first shop tranny shop couldn't diagnose it and did nothing. The second did a full tranny service and installed a valve kit that didn't correct the issue. Now the dealership is saying anything from a possible misfire to drive line issue because of the 2" lift on the truck. They seem timid to do any work because if it doesn't solve the problem, I won't have to pay unlike the previous shop. The truck only has 86,000 miles and I'm really hoping I can figure this out and have a reliable vehicle. Any advise or help trouble shooting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

If they are blaming a proper lift, I would find another shop.

The original owner had the lift put on 40k ago and no issue in the first 800 miles I drove the truck. I think the dealership is looking to blame something so they can charge their $145 diagnose fee.

I would inspect the driveline, especially the carrier bearing and u-joints.
2” is not going to cause a problem unless something is loose which generally would cause issues on bumps and transitions, takeoffs and stops.
Also, find a way to monitor fuel pressure.

Could be a random misfire. I believe the even has to happen 3 times in a certain amount of time to throw a code.

    Have you checked the plugs?
Could be a dirty or bad map.
Are you able to drop the drive shaft and look for wear on the splines/yoke?
    Bad injector.

Not in my Tundie, but I had a car get water vapor in the intake and it felt like I hit a pothole at 60mph.

Find a shop that has a reader that can do real time data while driving around and YOU drive to recreate the problem.

Had pretty much the same thing happen with my daughters Highlander. Turned out to be a coil pack starting to go bad. It never threw any codes

Maybe the driveshaft issue that had a TSB issued for it? I can tell you that ever since I bought my 2007, if you ever so lightly feather the pedal at 35-40mph the driveshaft "unloads" & almost feels like another vehicle hitting your back bumper. That's prob a terrible description but it's the closest thing I can come up with. I always make sure to be into the throttle decently around those speeds or totally off the throttle & it doesn't happen. I wanna say the TSB called for a driveshaft replacement. I bought my truck with 188k on the odometer so it was way past any TSB being covered at a dealer.
