5" lift 20x12 fuel with 35" nitto ridge graplers. Full led and secaine 9" android head unit.
    Morning all,

So i have run into a bit of a snag and need some advice. I have a 2010 tundra with a 4.5" Rough Country bracket lift. Lift has been on for 3 years and it is their newer model lift. The shop who installed it maintained the factory upper control arms which have been replaced twice now. I have changed the lift so as to say, by adding the rough country Vertex adjustable coil-overs with reservoir. The Vertex shocks will only fit their 6" lift so they claim. Rough country has told me there is no difference between the 4.5" lift and 6" lift other than the rear blocks. The truck is at a new shop who says the ball joints are about to fall out of the truck.

I am looking to replace these factory uppers with something that will not crap out or cause me mechanical issues with this lift. I am having a hard time locating something that is not 0-4" uca

If the factory uppers work why cant a 0-4" UCA work as well, why are they saying i need a 6" UCA ?

I am thinking i need a UCA that has a grease fitting.

    Any help ??

Any UCA will work. SPC is a good option as it has a lot of adjustments

Kinda looks like you need to take about 3-4” of lift out! You’re skyin over them knobby knobbies.

Seriously, any quality UCA. I like my MCM Fab’s, but they’re are tons of good options. You’ve got some other parts hiding behind the tire in the photos, because that stock UCA isn’t droops enough to carry 6” on its own there.

6" RC lift, 20" Fuels, RC rear bumper w/ lights, RC front bumper light bar, (NSV light bar ordered and on the way)
reviving this thread for some info, I too have RC 6" lift. i ordered new coilovers and rear struts/shocks, i recently had lower control arms replaced under warranty with OEM parts. I was told that i need a UCA for 6" lift as well and that i couldn't go with 2-4 as most are listed due to bad angle. I see above ya'll are saying that any UCA would work fine?? It did throw me off as the OEM UCA's are currently on the lift, after browsing the forum I see a lot of guys going with Total Chaos. After looking at their webpage, it states 2.5-3" lift.

So if we are able to go with any UCA's, why are they all listed with specific lift size compatibility?

    thanks, for any help.

SPC and any heim joint (aka rod end bearing) UCA will work way better than fixed uppers at that lift. Only SPC, Element and Icon's billet are adjustable on vehicle AFAIK.

So from what I gather, the RC 6" lift is not a spring lift. seeing as they use a block/spacer at the top of the coilover the JBA/Element/Icon/almost all UCA's aren't made to fit. So it states that the RC lift was made to maintain factory UCA's, but i would prefer to replace them with something with grease fittings as the OP stated. as far as i can tell, the only ones that will work are the SPC's. the SPC's are the closest thing to stock though by appearance and options (don't have heim joints).

OP, which way did you end up going to replace your's?
