Sorry to bug you guys again. I looked at 2 Tundras today. One 2007 double cab limited with 105,000 miles. The other a 2011 Tundra double cab TRD rock warrior edition with 144,000 miles. Just wondering if I should go older with less miles or newer with more miles.

    What's the difference in price?

Tragically, I like the 2007, but I am a truck lover, not a truck expert.

That ‘07 would be my choice. Looks like it’s in good shape. Good luck.

Same here. Less miles, great condition [one owner and well maintained], it's cool as crap. What's not to love? YMMV

    I vote the Maroon 07.
With that said, how does the rest of the undercarriage look?

BTW, you aren’t bugging anyone. We are happy to help you spend your money!

I would lean RW. But also would weigh out cleanliness and maintenance. Weigh out the things that you may want to change or any extra money you may want to spend out the gate.

Also make sure each one books out close in NADA & KBB.

Drive them both and see what one feels better to you. Maybe creature comforts in the truck will help you decide. Both seem pretty clean from photos. Miles really shouldnt matter in these trucks. So long as they were taken care of.

I'd personally choose the rock warrior just because the wheels are desirable and its got all the skid plates already. I paid about 20k for my 11 RW with 128k miles back in november. either one is a decent deal and will last a long time with good maintenance. it will mostly com down to what you want to do with the truck, the rock warrior looks like it has a leveling kit already which will save you money if you were planning on doing it anyways. and it has good tires for if that was also in your plans. if you just want a stock tow vehicle then the 07 is a better choice especially if its optioned out.

Extended test drives with the radio OFF for both of them, fast, slow, rough & smooth road surfaces, evasive maneuvers & heavy braking. Choose the one that sounds & feels best to you.

07 is my vote. I bought my 07 last year for $18,500 but it only had 67,000 miles and was a 1 owner. I know I looked a long time to find one that was well taken care of before I took the leap.

I bought a ‘10 Limited and I love all of the features. That said I love the look of the RWs and want to eventually make my limited look more like a RW.

It boils down like this for me: Would you rather have the Limited features and add the aesthetic upgrades of the RW (color matched grille, 17” RW wheels, no chrome); Or have the looks of a RW and add whatever features it’s missing compared to the Limited (power fold mirrors, JBL stereo, heated leather, etc.)

What are your plans, if any, for it? If you're doing any dirt/offroad driving, then the white with the RW wheels. If it's gonna be a pavement princess, maroon.

The difference in those miles is negligible on these Tundras in my opinion. Price is basically the same.

If they both are 4wd, then just pick which ever one tickles your fancy and appears more taken care of. If you ask my opinion, the Rock Warrior looks the best, but I understand your attraction to the Limited. I have a Limited as well.

But it’s also your money so spend it on whichever you like better..... which is the white one. Is the subliminal messaging white working yet? White.

The only thing that I would add, is that you need to look at the size of the tires. If they're bigger than stock and it wasn't ever reprogrammed, the odometer is lying. It has more mileage than it says. Not a big deal, especially on these trucks, but it is something to consider.

One last thing. Is there more room in a double cab Tundra than a full four door Tacoma? They have a bunch of Tacomas at the same dealer.

For a basically negligible price difference, I'd go with the newer one. Age usually has a larger effect on price than miles (within reason). The early second gen tundras could also have some weird problems.

    Just my $.02
