OEM fog lights are absolutely useless!
Mine doesn't even light up 6 feet ... not kidding you what a joke! they are for decoration only. Toyota should only sell the engine and transmission and outsource the rest of the car. We have 2 other cars with oem fog lights that are 10 times better than tundra.

Short of replacing the entire fog light assembly, is there a replacement amber or yellow halogen bulbs that wouldn't burn the plastic? Or a plug & play LED? I rather try a different light bulb first before changing the whole thing.
    Thanks

I put some Lasfit LEDs in mine. Work great now. With OEM bulbs I did not even know they were on.

Don’t rule out replacing the unit all together with a LED unit. The amount of light out put vs. the power draw you would get from something altogether different will be mind blowing. I went with the Baja design unit and would not look back. There are several manufacturers to choose from that provide complete kits for our pick-ups.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
I had some yellow 35w HIDs in mine and never melted anything. Kit was $50 on Amazon.
Ultimatly replaced with some BD s2's and Squadron Pros when I got my new bumper. LED conversion is the way to go in my opinion, but the HID was a good cheap option.

We offer a couple Plug and Play, Fog Pocket Kits for the Toyota Tundra. These bolt directly into the factory location and don't require any electrical modifications. Our most popular packages are the Squadron Sport in Wide Cornering (Amber or White) as this provides much more usable light than stock, and can be considered street-friendly depending on use.

We have a thread here covering more information on the kit. Please post up if you have any questions

I’m going to wait for OEM fit Rigids as seen on the 2019 Pro, ordering from Roman (or your fave genuine Toyota parts supplier).

Stock is H16, which is 19w bulb. Not a great idea to run 55w H11 bulbs without an added harness or anything. Surprised it didn’t or hasn’t blown the fuse yet.

55w is only about 4.6 amps. I have run the LED Lasfits in mine for an hour + and no problems.
