User Leer 100R pricing

Hey folks!

I am looking at a USED, like new (cap guy says it came straight to him from the dealer) 100R. It has all interior lights, sliding front window, and fabric interior.

He is selling for $1500 including install, and said I could get it paint matched for another $350.

Is this a good deal for a near new cap, or am I better off looking elsewhere? Thanks!

 

I just got a new cap put on my truck yesterday and asked the dealer what a used cap would sell for since I have one on my old Silverado that I'm going to sell. The dealer said his ROT was 50% of new price provided its in good shape.

 

What do new ones cost where your are? The cheapest new cap I could find here was about $2200 for a Leer Legend (which is very similar to a 100R). So unless it's actually in mint condition, $1850 for a used one might be a bit steep.

ETA: mine doesn't have lights or carpet, though it does have a removable sliding front window.

My ARE MX was $2300, removable window, carpet, and rails(no accessories). I got an email quote from dealer thru ARE website, took that to another dealer to beat and they did.

 

I would never buy that cap used for that high of a price.

 

For reference I have my used ARE cap for sale. Its in excellent condition with carpet, sliding windows etc.. $1900. Just posted and have had interest rite away.. Guess caps are hard to come by right now..

 

Used caps usually go pretty quick
