Trying to find out what the torque spec on the valve cover bolts for 2005 Toyota tundra SR5 4.7 L. I’ve looked online and I found anywhere from 106 inch pounds to 53 inch pounds. Does anybody know need some help?

It's all linked from this thread, which is a recommended read: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Part numbers and process for valve cover gaskets here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/valve-covers-fix-or-leave.105385/#post-2712883

Correct torque on bolts is in INCH LB, not FT LB and you're aiming for 53 inch lbs per the FSM which is in the ballpark of 4.5 ft lb if my math is on-point

Note that 1st link has links out to manuals galore which cover this stuff.

    No problem.

You may want to download copies of the Service Manuals, in case they ever go away. For you, the 2005-2006 FSM / in case others may want it, 2000-2003 FSM (Please, people, hit me up if either of those links goes dead!)

I've yet to see a copy of the '04, it was a crossover, engine-wise 2004 has more in common with 2000-2003.

Planning to change my front/rear diff and transfer case oils. I spent hours looking through the 2000-2003 FSM as well as this torque settings post and I'm not finding any torque specs for the transfer or rear diff fill/drain plugs. On page 256 of the FSM it shows the front diff drain as 48 ft-lb and the fill as 28 ft-lb but no luck on torque specs for the rear or transfer case. Do you know a reliable source I can find these specs from? It's for a 2003 AC 4WD and as far as I can tell it's a standard rear, not LSD. Thanks again for your time!

For the TC, I will warn you not to over-tighten those, though. There is a risk of stripping.

Careful not to over torque your valve cover. I did and it cracked super easily. Ordered a cheap one online to replace but it was so sketchy feeling that I went with a used OEM valve cover. Felt much better about it. But yeah, don't shoot yourself in the foot like I did lol

It's pretty damn large, it may take a minute or three. Android or iOS? In either, can you hold your finger on the link and 'save' the file to your device?

Correction: 05-06 Loads for me in Chrome. 00-03 does not. It threw a certificate warning (self signed) on my first attempt, so that may be part of the problem.
