has anyone seen anyone else or taken off the vinyl on the a and b pillars?

to me it just looks odd... toyota did the same thing by sticking black vinyl on the B pillars on the tacoma's but if you took it off, there was the regular factory paint underneath

I seen a picture of someone who did. It looked a little off to me. But I support you and want to see the pics after.

Here ya go - not mine but Adventure Motors wrapped theirs and didn't keep the black tape. I like it. Screen Shot 2022-02-27 at 6.12.08 PM.jpg

Looking forward to to seeing the pics also.

I actually kinda like it on my MGM SR5 however…with the tinted windows it gives it that panoramic “wall of windows/spaceship” kinda look that I dig.

That looks awesome. Looks just like a larger taco… can’t wait to see someone detail taking the vinyl off vs a wrap like that one

That looks a million times better. They should have wrapped the ugly fender flares too.

Look at a white SR, they don't have it and look odd...

yep. The B pillars don't bother me much. And frankly they existed on the previous Gens. I don't love the A pillar pieces, mostly because the pointy end how it meets the window seals and the cut along the door frame. I'll probably have mine removed and PPF applied.

The tape is loose and not sticking where my front windshield meets the a pillar. Maybe I’ll rip it out when I’m off and able to clean underneath right after. Anything I should be worried about ? Seems to just be tape

On the Tacoma b Pilar a little heat and they come right off. I would guess it’s the same on the tundras

That sticker was what got it to the mpg it’s supposedly at during R&D. If I take it off my mpg might plummet to 7 highway and 5 city

hi guys , just say this and wanted to post . 2023 tundra SR vs SR5 . On Toyotas website under options the SR5 comes with painted pillar windshield pillars , the SR DOES NOT . It’s not a decal , it’s factory painted with clear coat over top . Best of luck , I attached a photo from Toyotas website with the options

Welcome to the forum…I hope you are enjoying your truck.

What the SR5 has is regular paint (like the SR) with a gloss black decal/wrap stuck over it and as mentioned many a member have taken it off or peeked under (like me) to verify as much.

So it can be peeled off if you so want to go with that look, but since I personally do need my extra 5 mpg’s imma leave mine on :D

Before I purchased my truck I thought I would definitely be peeling this off instantly. I haven't done it yet and still debating it now with the MPG knowledge I'm not sure I can afford to do so.
