I live in the mountains of NC. There is a lot of salt, sand, people who have gravel driveways and they get washed out a lot. Most people up here have a lot of rock chips on their hoods and
"A" pillars. Would it be a good idea to try and wrap my hood and pillars? Should I try and match the Silver Sky Metallic or get a clear vinyl? I have seen where the clear can get dirty and turn yellow-ish. Would this be a good idea, has anyone done this and had good results? I was thinking even a small thin barrier would be better than nothing against small rocks and debris.

Where I went to get my 3M PF done he does the vinyl wrapping like you're describing and I am considering having it done to my '15 Scion XB. The hood looks like shit from all the gravel/rock chips. Mine is a dark blue and will probably go with a matte black of some sort. He had like 10 different blacks to choose from along with dozens of other colors and designs to choose from. Was quoted 300.00 to do the hood and since it's my daily beater figured I'd give it try. If I do I'll post here and if you do I'll be looking for your results.
