My wife purchased a Viper 4107VM remote start for my 2013 Tundra. She also paid for a Directech DB3 integrated module. I can say I am pretty handy wit doing stuff on my own but this purchase came with minimal directions for wiring it up. There are no directions on what plug goes to what ECU panel pins at all. I asked her where she got it from and though i won't reveal who the people were here, they kind of made it clear that they wanted her to pay the extra monies s they could wire it themselves. So, did they remove the wiring diagrams in the boxes which were clearly already opened when I got the equipment? Can anyone pint me to how I can wire this up by myself? I have my Toyota wiring diagrams , I just need to know where the wires go from the B connectors and the vehicle.

I tried looking for an installation manual for the Viper 4107VM, but it doesn't even come up in a Google search nor Viper's own website. So, without knowing what color wires are for what, you're in bad shape.

I know it’s not the answer you’re looking for but I installed the 12v Solutions remote starter (with app) in about 15 minutes. Might be worth just returning it and ordering the plug-and-play kit.

I have done a few of these in the past, so I started to tackle it, then I thought screw it I'll take over to Best Buy and see how much they will charge me. I think they charged me 160 so I said go ahead

I contacted the place who sold it to my wife. They said that the DB3 has to be flashed by the dealer. I’m like, why do you even sell these to the public?

There was no dealer flashing. I took it to Best buy, asked them how much to install. (too much and I would tackle it myself) they said you need some $100 part. (probably what bypasses the flashing that you are talking about) A couple of hours later they were done and alarm was installed for catalytic converter piece of mind and remote start which I am really liking. They wouldn't warranty any of it but it works and my back doesn't hurt from laying under the dash for half a day. So win win win.

When I bought my Tundra last year I found out it had an aftermarket security system with remote start. It was Directed Electronics which bought out Viper. I reached out to them and they helped me identify the remotes that would work. They actually say Viper on them. I was able to get a momentary push button to put the module into program mode and program the new remote.

I would reach out to them for a wiring diagram.

however, before I found the module I was about to buy the plug and play one from 12V. FWIW, mine seems to be tied in quite a bit with the OEM harness.

I have had Viper alarms for some years (purchased by DEI) and when they have failed in the past I just purchased a new one on Ebay. Plugged them in (wiring already in place) and I was good to go.
I'm going back quite a few years, but as I recall they have the same color codeing for their units.
Sounds like you have 2 choices:
Uninstall what you have and go with plug and play.
Run down what you already have.
Either way the wiring diagram above should work for your DEI / Viper system.
    Good luck either way.

Yes, I have the wiring for the remote. I don’t know where to connect the other ends. That’s the wiring I’m taking about. There’s nothing from this Direct Tech device that tells me where to tap in.

That’s the thing. There’s nothing in the directions to tell me how or where to flash the DB3. There’s nothing where it tells me where to connect the other end of the connectors. I’ll reach out to them but I’ve tried before but it looks like they only deal with dealers.
