I’m wanting to get the grillle surround on my SR painted white(Toyota color-matched). I’ve reached out to a couple car wrapping companies, but the concern is the whites not matching, so that’s a nonstarter. Anyone had this done? Any advice or suggestions on where to have this done in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?

Any decent paint/collision shop should be able to get this done for you easily. I took my front clip apart and took the individual parts to a painter rather than paying them to disassemble/reassemble. Any automotive painter with a paint bank will have the factory formula for your color.

You might look at Painted OEM Parts. Link: https://www.paintedoemparts.com/store/c203/Tundra.html

They're not the cheapest out there, but they do get great reviews. They also offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee and have a Lifetime Warranty against fading, peeling, cracking etc. Also an A+ on BBB.

I've never used them, but if I was in the market for paint matched parts...I'd think about giving them a try. They seem pretty solid option.

Gotcha! Thanks @Boats N TRDs that pretty much clears up my concerns. I wasn’t sure how common a paint match request is, but it sounds pretty standard from what you’re saying. @KroppDuster I saw the part on sparkparts with a paint match option, but I’d rather not get a completely new piece when I already have one on the truck and can just get painted. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I really appreciate it!

I second Kroppduster recco. I installed ny black surround a couple days ago and they did a really nice job with pretty quick turn around.

oP, one BIG word of caution. I had hell of a time getting the surround off without cracking or completely breaking off some tabs. Actually I failed miserably and broke a couple so depending on how it goes new parts may be the ticket!
Will post a pic when back at my truck and complete the S8 bumper lightbar install.

Did you take the front end completely off or did you just remove the surround in place? I took my front end off, took it in the garage, and just took it apart from there. There were no struggles with tabs and nothing broken.

If I was smarter I might say “yeah I guesss its because I yanked pieces off while front remained in place”!
But NO, I went step by step as you likely did (an the couple videos I had up on my Ipad showed) but still had issues with getting seperation. When pushing some tabs to release they bent and were effectively ruined.
Not saying it cant be done, just be prepared to have truck front laid out on the floor and then possibly scrambling on what to do as the original is damaged and you have nothing to put in its place.

I too was thinking about getting the grill surround wrapped in lunar rock, but in the end, I decided to go with paintedoemparts. I didn't want to have to re-wrap later down the road after degrading over time and decided to just purchase the painted part. It was pricey up front, but I think will be more cost effective over time, if you're paying someone to get it wrapped. I was quoted $600 just to get the grill surround wrapped even though I was going to provide the wrap. Didn't make sense for me. It took about 2.5 weeks from date of order to receiving the painted grill surround. It's been sitting in my garage for a week until I find time to get it installed. As far as I can tell, it's an exact match.
