I have had this kenwood installed now for a few weeks and it sounds great but I have an issue where when the headlights are turned off and I use the turn signal the stereo display flashes with either signal. If I have the headlights turned on its fine. I did go in today and cut the orange illumination wire and it no longer flashes with the turn signals but I need the illumination wire hooked up to dim the stereo when the headlights are on. Any ideas of what could be causing this issue?

Try clipping a ground wire onto the radio chassis and a known good ground and see if that doesnt help your problem.

Im going to pull it out later and double check all of the wiring and try adding the chassis ground to see if it helps.

Im thinking that it requires a radio chassis ground and it will settle down.
    Good Luck
