And where are you getting it?
I just realized I haven’t changed my air filter in 40,000 miles. At least I drive carefully in clean environments.

Are you buying OEM? Is there something else on the market? I’m not going with K&N or any other oil based filter.

Also, has anyone done a brake fluid or coolant flush yet?

I get air filters from local auto parts stores.
Usually Purolator. I think they only had fram last time, so I grabbed one of those.
It's a wear item that gets replaced often enough that it doesn't need to be over priced or over marketed. Store brands and OEM work great and as designed. It's more important to change it more often and keep it from getting dirty and restricting flow.

Fram from walmart. Sometimes I use a paper towel folded many times.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Unless its HEPA certified; it's a waste of money and you might as well lose the obstruction device.

My experience with diesel turbo engines is one thing you dont chinz on is the air filter
Turbos suck a lot of air, and an el cheapo filter can disintegrate and if a substantial enough piece gets into the turbo you will be funding a turbo replacement. I have seen OEM filters for the diesels have metal support and the Walmart ones have paper supports

Assuming standard duty urban use, at what mileage interval should air filters be replaced?

OK, I give up. Where are you guys buying the engine air filters from? I can find the OEM filters at several online stores, but they are charging $17-24 for shipping, making two filters come in at over $90. Ouch.

And...I looked at the filters on my 2023 1794 TRD. They are paper, not oiled. Hum, thought the OEM filters were oiled. Anybody else have paper filters in their truck?

I may be mistaken, but I think the TRD filters are the same as K&N, which are oiled. My regular filters are paper. I just had them changed about a month ago at the recommended 30k mark. Dealer had them. Could you look on Amazon and get free shipping?

OEM has two choices.... I had the regular paper ones in my 1794 and switched it to the toyota TRD filters which look exactly like the K&N filters just a bit cheaper. They are washable / re-usable.

Performance difference? Maybe? You hear the turbos working a little but louder with the TRD filters.

I recently purchased 2 of the TRD filters from Serra Toyota Decatur for $68 shipped. They were having a labor day sale at the time.

I just replaced mine with the OEM ones. I was planning on getting WIX air filters but none of the parts stores had them in stock yet. Wix part number is WA11653.
