I was going to use some skateboard tape I’ve got lying around, then I saw an OEM 4pc set that looked pretty good. Just wondering if you guys bother and if so, what are you using? I don’t need anything flashy. Thanks.

G-Tek Fab used to make these. These are the ones that I had on my 2013 and moved them to my 2020. They are powdercoated aluminum.

You might be able to have some made locally. I can take measurements tomorrow if you want.

Please, not to bother, but thanks. I’m looking to go substantially cheaper.

Ordered from Amazon, have had them on for over a year. No peeling up or anything. Have been great. They cover all 4 doors and were 13 bucks or so.

Going to get them re-powder coated whenever I take my toolbox in to be done.

I’ve been trying to remember the brand I’ve used on three different pickups in the past. They were stiff contoured plastic with great coverage. Didn’t interfere with the lower door seals and attached with 3M double sided tape. Had them on my ‘90 & ‘95 Toyota’s and my 2000 Tundra

Thanks for the link. I spend alot of time on the beach, I’ve got to think they’re going to scratch pretty easily. It looks like those have held up pretty well.

I think about $160-$180, however they protect the entire rocker panel and the sills. Mounted with 3M automotive tape. Holding up well so far and very esthetically pleasing too. 4 piece system for a crewmax cab.

I get it, but FWIW, I tried the Toyota stick on version that was like $45 and they were basically garbage by comparison. More often than not good things aren't cheap and cheap things aren't good. Regardless, at least you are trying to make honest effort and I respect that, so carry on as you wish.

My Platinum Tundra came with the OEM ones, their durability sucks, it is peeling after ~3 years. Definitely don't recommend.

Are these junk ones you are talking about?
IMG_8094.png I thought I might give them a go, but if they are crap I’ll go with the metal ones suggested by Rustyshackle.
