Title pretty much says it all. We are looking for a new dry dog food for our two pups. What is everyone feeding their fur buddies?

Been feeding ours Kirkland Salmon and Sweet Potato from Costco and both seem to do well with it. We always add something to it like diced carrots/apples, sardines or black beans.

White one is 50lbs and 2.5yo (est) and been on it since we rescued her from the pound in Nov.

Black one is 25lbs and 1.5yo (est) and been on it since we took her in as a rehome in April.

Purina pro plan lamb and rice, and whatever left over meat from our dinner. Only meat and some bones. Both dogs caught as feral puppies on southwest border. Vet here in VA says they’re a couple of the healthiest dogs they see.

Taste of the Wild. I buy different flavor every time, there are plenty, and I add half a can of Kirkland food. Dexter digs the combo!

Hill’s Science Diet for both my pups. The pittie was overweight on Costco brand stuff (chicken?). Same feeding schedule and amount on Hill’s and she’s lost a lot of weight.

First Mate limited ingrediant. Rotate different proteins chicken, lamb, fish and duck.
I had one german shepherd with colitis and she used to get honest kitchen grain free.
Their #2's were always firm and small which was good for nutrient absorption. Easy pickup is a plus.

We fed them Purina Pro Plan for a while. Switched to the Taste of the Wild and switch up the flavor every other time kind of like @The Dude. Two dogs and they like different flavors, so sometimes we just mix the two bags. Also, even though both dogs are in the 70 lb range, one is much more active and needs/likes a higher protein and fat food. Like @BlueRibbon4x4 , both dogs eat less of it than cheaper brands we've tried without begging for food and have lost weight or maintained a healthy weight; they both appear healthier and happy on it. Lots of energy for walks, chasing the ball, and keeping up/putting up with the kiddos. Soft, clean, coats, too.

Costco Brand for our Shug (Pug/German Shepherd) Dixie. We usually switch between lamb and chicken. No issues with gut health unless she’s counter surfing

A bit off the topic but my siberian husky couldn't handle any of many different types of kibble we tried, switched to a raw diet and never looked back. It's more expensive but if you can afford it's the way to go.

We’ve been successful with good old Purina Dog Chow and Pedigree Complete kibble, and a can of Purina One split between them in the morning after their Greenie. The JRT is well into his geriatric years and the retriever is just a pup (turned 1 yr recently, 45 lbs). We’ve had to put the JRT on special diets at times due to skin issues.

This spoiled boy gets Royal Canin German Shepherd specific food a boiled boneless chicken breast and ruff greens daily.
We tried a lot of different food combinations before we found what he likes and what suits his digestive system.
Shepherds can be really fussy about what they eat.
I have over the years, had 4 shepherds and no 2 have been the same regarding their diet.
