sup everyone was just curious to see what other 1st gen tundra people use as front crossmembers when doing a 6inch lift? I heard RC discontinued theirs so is there still a way to buy a new crossmember for another vehicle? Land cruisers are sas yeah so that wont work, what about t100 their wider than tacomas? And an extra cab 1st gen tundra frame is the same as a double cab or not? I get a double cab 4dr
my front crossmember at the steering rack connection snapped off so am thinking to just lift um instead of trusting a weld

RC as in Rough Country or RC as in RCD i.e. Race Car Dynamics?

Tough Country has a 5" that provides you with what you need. https://tuffcountry.com/tuff-countr...00-shocks-4x4-2wd-for-toyota-tundra-2004.html

Most of the time folks on here will advise against their 4.5" kit because of the sketchy knuckle spacer, a few have run the 5" kit. Note with most of these you're cutting the OEM crossmember and welding or bolting in a new piece, so there's no reversing it.

RCD has their 6" kit: https://racecardynamics.com/2wd/126...in-shock-absorbers-toyota-tundra-4wd-2wd.html

Nobody in their right mind would buy Rough Country, it's fucking garbage. Or you can, and end up like the guy who came here with "problems", one of which was bent OEM knuckles

Ask yourself seriously: Why do you need your truck that high? Are you building a show truck, or maybe a malldozer?

    From RCD webpage:
"Toyota has been gaining momuentum in the truck market for many years and the Tundra has become a popular vehicle of choice for the consumer looking for a toy model in quality and reliability. The Tndra's suspension is complex. Toyota was the first manufacturer to incorporate "coilover strut) and rack and pinion suspension technolouy in a halp ton truck startin in 1999. RCD Suspension answered the challenge, developing one of our most technologically advanced and complete sysems to date. RCD Suspension offers systesm for all Tundra models from 1999 - 2013."

With this many typos in one paragraph, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even think about installing one of these on my Tundra. Details matter.
