Just did a transmission drain and fill this weekend and what came out looked like old coffee. I added some Lube Gard with the fresh Toyota ATF and she drives like new. No shudder or stiff shifting. I decided that I am going to wait until this spring to change out the transmission filter.

My next things is my factory shocks on my 2011 are getting pretty rusty and worn. I do not have any lifts and besides getting the occasional load of lumber or pellets in the fall, I don't regular haul heavy loads or do a lot of towing.

I have looked at a lot of different brands of shocks. I looked at the KYB brand and I read that a lot of people like the Bilstein brand, but each of those have a tone of different styles. I was wondering what everyone has found were the best all around brand and style for handling?

    Thanks.

You can score the OEM yellow TRDs (4600s) for cheap if you live in a modding community. Everyone takes them off and replaces them for a lift. Suspension from 2020 down to 2007 bolts back into place.

There are tons of variables that come into play when picking the correct shock setup for your Tundra; budget, use of the truck, end goals, etc...

We do offer a great range of shock options from mild to wild to fit the needs of every style driver. Feel free to give us a call at 303-255-4959 and we can get everything squared away for you with one phone call!

The truck is my daily commuter so I am looking at shocks that will give me stable handling. I would like to stay below $400 if at all possible. I looked at the Bilstein 4600 and 5100 and they look like a good choice. In my experience over the years you can buy part A which will cost you $1000 but it will not actually be any different then Part B which would only have cost you $200. I know from reading reviews that the Bilstein seam to out perform a lot of other brands.

For a commuter the 4600 bilsteins will be plenty. Quality shock, but not more shock than you need since you dont want to lift.

OP. Keep an eye out on the Marketplace on the forum and also your local Craigslist. You can find them pretty cheap if you look hard enough.
