Hello! I was thinking about upgrading my shocks to Bilstein 5100s. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that my Tundra already has Bilstein shocks on it!

I am not the first owner and I am wondering if these shocks were added by the previous owner or if there is a chance that they came stock from Toyota?

I’m %90 sure that they were light blue color. My truck is parked at the airport right now otherwise I’d go look. I can say for sure tomorrow but I’m really thinking blue. It is not a TRD, just the SR5.

I put 2017 or so yellow TRD Billsteins on my 2007. They're cheaper than new stock replacements.

It isnt the dust cover, it is the entire metal body of the shock is blue. the labels are worn but it definitely says Bilstein on it.

Yeah so I wanted to level out the truck as the front sits about 3" lower than the rear. I was looking at lift kits and leveling kits and somewhere I found the adjustable Bilstein 5100s that can add up to 3", which would level me right up. Any reason why this isn't a great idea?
