A general question.... not necessary Tundra / Truck specific.

But... Anybody have any input on the life expectancy of a tire pressure sensor..? :monocle:

Or how long does the battery last...?

I'm looking to get a set of winter tires & rims but am hesitant on getting a 2nd set of TPMS for them, I got a 2020 with keyless entry and push button start, so my sensors would be the Toyota 42607-06030 at $63 + $6 for install kits... would be like $280 for just the sensors. :annoyed:
That just seems crazy to me.
I'm thinking about saying the heck with them , and just drive around with the light on all winter.

I plan on having this truck for a good number of years to come.... that's why i don't want to run on good rims thru the winter.
If the TPMS's last .... i may get em.

You can replace the batteries in some sensors - I don’t know about the Toyota OEM sensors. I just had a sensor fail on my 2012 Lexus if that gives you an idea.

Edit: some of the newer sensors have a sleep mode when the vehicle is not moving. When you start and the wheels rolling they come alive to save battery power when sitting.
