    First time Long time,

I have a 21 trd sport 4wd crewcab with the 5x150 bolt pattern and all the wheels I've seen are not really scratchin my fancy. The ones that do are in the 6x139 pattern.

Anyone runnin wheel adapters? And if so, can you post a pic. I want to see the poke. I have my eyes set on some 17x9 -12 or 17x8.5 0 and would like to see what an extra 2 inches will look like.

Im gonna be putting them on some 37x12.5 KM3s

    Thanks!

Are you talking about wheel adapters to run 6x139 specs or wheel spacers?

Wheel adapters to run 6x139 wheels on my 5x150 bolt pattern. You got some on your truck?

Nah, I’ve thought about it before to widen my options of wheels, but stuck with 5x150.

I’ve only seen a few attempt this.

But to answer your question about poke, 0 offset and 12 offset is not much of a difference.

This is 12 offset, but I assume -12 would just be a bit more further out.

No. You have to remember, any wheel adapter will be at least 2” thick. That’s 51mm. You want to add a 0 offset wheel on top of a 2” spacer?

There are tons of options for 5x150. This isn’t a new platform. So you’re most likely just not looking in the right places. Get the proper wheel with the offset you want.

I find it hard to believe that you can find no 5x150 wheels that you like.

Maybe share a pic of the wheels you like that are in the non 5x150 pattern. I bet folks can help you find something pretty darn close in the correct bolt pattern.

The new KMC GRS 549 all polished
There's a hyper silver RR7-H from RRW that I found.
    KMC 552 IMS polished

Only ones I like that will fit are the
    MR315
    Raceline 951
    SSW Dakar

    I've looked everywhere.

I have a problem with trying to not have what others have and making it work. And adapters seem like the only other option at this point.

Run adapters if you want. But running 37s on the equivalent of a -110 offset wheel will tear the hubs, and ball joints up on the truck in a relatively short time. It’s not even worth the trouble. Not to mention the tires would stick out 8-10” outside the fenders.

I don't see how it could be 8-10 inches out of the fender. I think you might be exaggerating a bit. But to each their own. I might just pull the trigger on it.

Ok. You don’t seem to understand offsets either and appear to only care about a look, and not the functionality or safety of a vehicle. Putting a 0 offset wheel on top of a 2” wheel adapter with a 37” tire is just a recipe for disaster. You’ll be the next guy on side of the road with the spindle sitting on the ground because you lost the whole hub assembly at 70 mph. Good luck. Hopefully nobody gets hurt.

I'm sorry if you're offended with my question. I am coming from the GM community and I am well aware of the offset game. I've ran -44 offset for over 10 yrs on one of my trucks and it never stuck out that far. I've had Baja trucks with long travel kits that had -72 offset as well. Just wanted to see if anyone has ran them on here. I guess not. Thanks for believing in me and will update if and once I get it done. If it does break, Ill just fix it ;)

Yellow outline is -12 with 2” adapter.

No outline is 0 with 2” adapter.

No offense. Just providing input based on experience with this platform. You won’t find many, if anybody running adapters on these trucks. 99.9% of the people go with the proper bolt pattern. Running -44 on “one of your trucks” isn’t apples to apples. I’m not concerned with your “offset game”. Lol. GM isn’t Toyota. How a -44 offset wheel fits on one truck is not a blanket fitment across every manufacturer.

I agree. not apples to apples, but Im sure it can be done. Not everyone is willing to take the chance/risk and just follow the trend and what has been working. Ive been browsing the 37 club and found a couple guys with something close, but no adapters. My baja truck was an 06 tundra with the long travel kit. Miss that bad boy.

I personally would not use wheel adapters other than a high quality HUB CENTRIC adapter made by either Spidertrax or BORA. And I mean it would have to be both hub centric on the original truck hub, and the new wheels to be hub centric on the adapter. I would also only use them with a +50mm offset or more wheel. Even at that, as mentioned you’ll be looking at a ridiculous offset and depending on tire size the fitment may be difficult with a 0 offset wheel. You’ll definitely have to do a lot of modifications in the wheel well to make it work. The premature wear of components and likelihood of a major failure when hitting a nasty pothole or something would also worry me.

It sounds like you like the high spoke count designs in silver or polished finish. You could always do RR7s in 5x150 and get them powder coated your color of choice. Like you said, the method 315s in 5x150 fit the bill and Raceline also offer wheels of a similar design. FN wheels is also offering the BFD (a quality TE37 replica) in hyper silver any day now. I have them in graphite gunmetal.

Unless if you can even talk to some of the wheel manufacturers to sell you a blank and then drill it out, that’s a possibility.

@magnetic_tundra on Instagram got KMC blanks that were only made in 6x139 or 6x5.5 and had those drilled out for 5x150.

Yeah, I've talked to this guy before and he told me drilled blanks. I'm waiting for the KMC GRS to produce the silver polished version. Looks like they have the 5x150 just waiting for a reply.
