Hi all. Just a quick question - do the new Tundras come with wheel locks from the factory or would they need to be purchased and added on?

    Thanks.

I added mine, also I have a planted basketball goal beside my driveway and I park with one wheel centered right with the post and 2" away. So, now they will probably steal my basketball goal too! That or smash my widows for being a smart ass. But hey, better than being a dumbass! And with broken windows at least I can still get to the shop unlike missing tires!

I added a full set of Gorilla lugs to my aftermarket rims.

Every lug is locking and the spacing in the key is different than the next set they set.

My OEM rims came with a set of locking lugs, dealer out then on and probably added it to my price without telling me. I'm guessing they aren't added from Toyota but will be a dealer specific thing or add on

Pretty nice bene from your dealer. They are a Toyota accessory item, so a dealer can get them wholesale. I believe they are actually made by McGard, but with "Toyota" on the pack...$$.

McGard's original claim to fame was that no two keys were identical. Each lock set is CNC milled in a unique random pattern. McGard originally invented the locks to prevent theft of oil well "Christmas trees".

If thieves want your wheels bad enough there are ways to defeat wheel locks. Slowing the theft increases the risk, and that in itself is a deterrent.

Hopefully also parking the wheel right up against the basketball goal post will send them on to an easier target. I have even considered planting two short posts on both sides of the goal post to protect two rims simultaneously. Only problem is then the goal post falls in the door swing space, so the spacing is going to be critical and unequal. With short run and a sidewalk in the way I can't just use the goal as one and plant one more. Decisions...
