Is the axle or frontend lifted off the ground and secured?

Probably seized by surface rust to the rotor hub face

    It happened to me before

I ended up trying 3 things

    1. Letting wheel back on to ground with lugs off to see if it breaks loose
    2. Put a block of wood Over the tire rim and hit with a hammer
    3. Drive to tire shop and watch them come out with a giant rubber sledgehammer like the ones at carnival games. A few bumps with that and it popped off

To avoid that happening again,i cleaned the hub surface and applied Anti Seize, and used a torque wrench for proper lug torque

I always wire brush the hub surface and use anti seize when I'm swapping winter wheels for the summer set. Works great!

    1. Make sure it is securely sitting on a jack stand.

    2. Kick the top sidewalk of your tire a couple times (bottom of your foot).

Just had to do this yesterday. I was surprised how hard It was stuck on there.

If all else fails - Bottle or scissor jack against the opposite wheel with a length of 2x4 across in contact with the stuck wheel. Pop it right off.
Anti-seize is your new friend, just not on the wheel studs.

When this happens to me, I loosen the lug nuts, but leave the nuts on the studs. Just back them off of being tight. Then go drive around a cul-de-sac sack a couple of times. Then go jack up the truck and remove the wheel.

That happened to me before also. I just got a small sledge and hit the backside of the wheel.

Rotor warping are a known issue in the 2nd gen. There is a TSB issue referencing this, you may want to inspect your studs to ensure they're not damaged. Wheels will stick to the hub as rust shows up... There is a solution that you can put on the hub to evade this situation. I've been there done that. I would suggest you acquire some jack stands for safety and to prevent damage in case your jack fails, or vehicle shifts and fall off the jack.

I got the wheel back on but upon inspecting the rotor it seemed to be warped slightly. I could see some thinner spots on the edge. Any suggestions on cheap but good quality rotors and pads?

I would stick with OEM... Honestly, you can get them at some stealerships online cheaper than aftermarket options. I bought an aftermarket rotor and it failed, it cracked and it took my rear caliper with it. I may be the exception, but that is my experience.

Yea, these trd wheels are always stuck.. clean up the hub and put a wee bit of anti seize and it goes a long way.

(you have to be careful too, sometimes tightening them down due to the crud that made them hard to remove, makes it so they don’t tighten down all the way)
