    295/70/18 versus 285/75/18 on +25 offset

Is one of these sizes generally easier to take care of any rubbing issues than the other? Common sense tells me the shorter tire should be easier but I figure rubbing issues arise mainly when turning full lock where the width also comes into play.

I'm running 6112 at 1.9 with two shims driver and one passenger and the new tires will be on a +25 offset. Cooper AT3 XLT so not too aggressive

@Stig I am running 295/70/18 on a +25 offset on a 3/1 lift. I have a very slight rub on the front finder liner.

Do your tires make contact with the UCA?

Looks like more choices in 295/70....and they seem to run cheaper than the 285/75s

I just installed my 3"/2" ReadyLift kit on my 2020. I am keeping my stock wheels but I'm not sure what I can fit. My tire guy said only 270/70R18s but I could have swore people are getting a little bigger tire with these. What do you think?

I'm running 285/75/18 on TRD Pro wheels (60mm offset) with 1 1/4 Spidertrax spacers and a 3/1 ReadyLift. It slightly rubs on the frame when turning sharp left in reverse. By the way, anybody got any ideas on how to fix the rubbing?

Still up in the air which of these sizes to go with.

Both are within 1 lb of each other. Can get either for the same price.

98% pavement. Rest is fire roads that get nasty sometimes but in those cases I won't be on them anyways.

I'm sitting at 39 inches ground to fender on the OEM 18s with worn out 275 65

Decided between the two in my OP. Going with neither. 275/70 for now. 4.88 and supercharger by the time those need to be replaced. I drive to fast in the rolling hills highways to put up with making my truck even slower.

There are a couple of newer tires out there in that size that are super light compared to previous 275/70r18 models. The new Toyo AT3s are around 50 lbs. There is also a new Firestone Destination XT which is light and looks badass but no guys on here have tried it yet.

I was gonna get the ATIII, but I think i decided on the new Bridgestone Revo 3, 295/70 is only 54lbs. I had revo's before and they ride smooth and balance easily.

I was going to mention 285/70/18s I’m running them with 6112s set at 1.9 no trouble here I probably could have gone 285/75s but would have more rub on the front of the liner and definitely would have had to do bumper shims next time around if I don’t go with 37s I’ll do the 285/75s though. Good luck with whatever you go with.

My main concern going too large on the diameter, besides just weight increase, is causing the tranny to hear hunt or not have power on the highways here. They are constantly rolling hills and traffic usually does 80, my stock Tundra already has to go to fifth more than I'd like.

I'll go to 34/35 when this next set wears out when I can also add gears and a supercharger.
