Hello, this is my first post ever on this website; would appreciate any help from anyone.

Had a driving mishap and passenger side mirror came off; the circular housing part that sits behind the mirror itself also came loose. In this album, I have one image with that circular part and the rest without it as it came loose. I'm assuming that it was not meant to come loose as I noticed it has some sort of glue in the center of the part.

My question is what will I have to replace? I've already ordered the glass but now I'm afraid that the part behind the glass itself will also have to be replaced but I'm not sure. I've tried to find images online but no luck. Could anyone help please

It’s been a while since I tried to fix mine. I ended up getting the whole side mirror assembly because my clips were broken. From what I can tell in your images it doesn’t look like anything broke.

According to this diagram, it looks like the mirror and that part are separate, although they don’t have the that part called out.

Did that part clip into the motorized part at all in your image because I’m thinking the mirror will clip to that part based on what I’m seeing online.

Sorry I may not be answering your question directly, but it’s been some time since I did my 2nd Gen.

looks like the circular part is detachable. I see grease in the middle, as this is a pivot point, I dont see glue. I'm pretty sure it just clips back on the mirror itself

Maybe this can be of some assistance, OP.
Pic taken when I was doing mirror puddle lights (mirror/glass still attached by the wire, but pulled off; you can see the whole "parts list"):

Can confirm, just the glass needs to be replaced, the part number for yours would be 879020C010 as it appears you do not have blind spot monitoring

I'm hoping this group may be able to help. My driver mirror glass was shattered when someone coming in the other direction crossed the line and their mirror smashed mine. I called my dealership and was given a part number - 879070C030 (for a 2023 Tundra, 1794). Upon investigating online, I also found part 879070C020 - which comes up in certain places as a match for my VIN, but isn't showing in the dealer system. Given the price difference (~$110 vs ~$450) I'm hoping to get some help!

Both have blind spot monitoring, I believe are heated, etc...

Also, in the accident it appears the circular piece that attaches the glass to the assembly (picture below) must have come off... can that be purchased as well?
