Going with Toyo AT3 in load range C. I live in San Diego and want a tire with good all around characteristics. Will spend a lot of time in the Sierra's during winter and snow performance is important. Thinking the narrower 35x11.50x17 tire may be better than the 35x12.50x17. Tire will be mounted on a 316 17"x8" wheel.

Thoughts on the 2 options below?

Which option did you end up going with? I’m debating these exact tire options now for my 2025 on a 17”x8.5” wheel.

35x12.50x17. It was lighter weight and fit is perfect on a 17” wheel.

Looks awesome! I’m leaning the same way due to the lighter weight. The Max PSI of 35 was throwing me off though. What’s your wheel offset and how much poke do you have?

Method 316 17x8 +25. Tires sit just outside the fender and I’m running factory mid flaps front / rear.

Wow! That's a perfect stance IMO. So, no rubbing/fitment issues then?

No rub no issues. Would 100% recommend this tire.

Looks great! I was in the same situation and ordered 11.50. However, it never came (2 weeks). Asked a second shop to order it for me. They said 12.50 would be easier to order if i needed a replacement. So I ended up going with 12.50 also.

If I’m running 35x12.50x17 BFG K02’s and put them on Method 316s in theory the poke would be the same right? currently have rrw 17s and the offset is 0. Too much poke for my liking

Yes, as long as you get the offset of the Method 316s in +25. You want the 17x8 6x5.5 +25 wheels.

Thank you so much. Do you have any pictures from the back?
I also have a 3in lift but I wouldn’t think that would affect poke.

They just barely sit past the factory fenders. I am still running front and rear mudflaps and nothing kicks up on the body from the tires.

Would 12.5 rub on +18 offset and 3 inch lift or should I be safe and get 11.5?

+18 and a 12.5 should be ok. You might rub the front mud flap and need to remove, but the 3” lift could give you the clearance needed.

+18 wheel and 12.5 tire I would not expect any rub on upper control arm or sway bar. I run +25 wheel and 12.5 tire with plenty of room between tire and UCA/sway bar.

Perfect thanks! How do you like Toyos so far? I’ve only had wildpeaks on taco before, but they are too heavy so I’m going with toyo on the tundra.

So far so good. I would normally run BFG A/T’s, but was after a light 35x12.5x17 Load C tire and Toyo had the lightest offering. Balanced well and no issues.

BFG is going to release a 37x12.5x17 Load C A/T KO3 in 2026. If Toyo doesn’t come out with a 37” Load C, I will probably go with the BFG as next tire.

I currently have 12.5 width, but may opt for 11.5 when these tires are up. Most of my driving is on pavement.

I like the 35x12.5x17s. I went with C load rating and they feel great. Im on a 2nd gen (2.5) Methods 0 offset. Im not sure how much advantage an 11.5 over a 12.5 is going to have in the snow. Specs show the C load is 59 lbs.

I think the only reason for me id go with 12.5 is because they are lighter. I am picking up some today. Are they relatively quiet?

Yes. I was on smoked Toyo R/T Trails prior and new AT III’s are night and day.
