Can someone please advise which trim of 2024 Tundra Crewmax is best value for the money. Have a budget constrain hence the asking. I think I would preferred Hybrid engine for a little more torque. Thanks in advance

nobody else can help you with this, value is only a perception.

figure out your budget and buy what you like within that.

some guys say the SR is the best value, while I think the platinum is, so its useless for others to help in that regard.

figure out your budget and go test drive within that budget and buy what you like best

What features are must have's for you? That will determine the trim levels you need to consider.

    Well said.

I've had my platinum for almost a month and wouldn't have it any other way. If you're in a position to even be considering a new truck in this current economy, it's likely that going up from a 60k limited to a 70k plat won't make much difference. The way I see it if you're already spending that much on a new truck, you might as well get everything you want on it.

Hybrid engine is a must so basically I would need a Limited, or Platinum. Other than that, not sure what else is desirable as it's a truck after all. Capstone or TRD Pro is out of budget for sure.

I looked at Limited vs Platinum w/TRD package (unless you really need TRD Pro and the few extras that gives, I've read this is best way to get the full 4WD capabilities). You can get most of the things in the Platinum as options for the Limited trim (sunroof, power package, etc.). The only things you can't get are heated/ventilated rear seats and leather seats from what I could tell. I ended up with the Platinum (my younger son appreciates it now as he gets the rear seats heated/ventilated) for really same price as most Limiteds were being given out since most Limiteds were coming with all the options. There are some other small differences in body coloring but not much.

What trim do you suggest for non-hybrid?

One huge draw back on the hybrid is you lose all the under seat storage in the rear seat and that automatically made up my mind that I didn't want a Hybrid. The non-hybrid is more than enough power and I actually like that it is a little less complex being these are already a computer on wheels right now. I've only towed about a 5000 lb trailer every now an then but I couldn't' hardly even tell the trailer was there and never found my self lacking power passing people going up to Eisenhower tunnel in Colorado aka the ike gauntlet as they call it on TFL truck. I usually buy the most powerful/best and didn't find I need to on this one. One thing I remember when hearing one of the engineers talk about the tow capacity on these rigs "If we say it can tow 11,000 lbs we mean we designed it to tow 11,000 lbs just about anywhere you want to go with a trailer". I love the way my non-hybrid drives and pulling a trailer I've never found my self wanting MORE POWER!!!! my 2 cents

Aftermarket can do anything you want if you like to tinker. I’m kinda more of a buy it the way you want it guy…I picked up a lightly used 1794 with all the dealer add ons for the price I was seeing for loaded limiteds…I think I would have been happy either way tho. Not sure if the bed lights come on the limited but those are really nice

@TNC Also what Ryan Gregg said above is spot on...Also think Plat/1794 will have better resale/trade-in than a loaded limited would.

This....and read, research, narrow down your choices. Don't let a bunch of random people on the internet tell you which is best for you.

I thought the SR5 was the best value, others may say the 1794 or Capstone are the best value.

It's your money, don't let us spend it or decide how you spend it.

When I finally found the Tundra Platinum I "wanted" - it had two things I hadn't really considered - Power Running Boards, and also a Hybrid engine. I really wanted the Blueprint color, and Platinum 6.5' Bed, with 4x4 Transmission. I have to say I FREAKING LOVE the running boards, makes getting in/out so much easier - and I really LOVE the hybrid engine. The take away on the hybrid engine is you lose all of the storage under the back seats, which sucks, but - getting 22MPG (and sometimes more) on the freeway is pretty great.

Seats in the Limited are brutal imo. Love the truck, but man those seats are bad.

What's wrong with the seats in Limited trim? I am kind of narrow down to Limited version.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
To not deal with "turbo lag" or "acceleration hesitation" like the rest of you non hybrid scrubs. To drive incognito down the road in prius mode with a smile.

To me there isn’t enough padding, coming out of a 2016 TRD Pro that wasn’t great but better than this Limited, comfort wise.
    I’m 6’ - 230 lbs.
My 2008 / 2013 where outstanding in all categories.

Agreed. If your not towing anything no hybrid needed. Especially if the savings on that get you some other goodies you want.

Probably an unpopular opinion... But find another truck. In my opinion my 23 OR is a pos. For $70k I expected a lot more. The dealer has done nothing to remedy any of my complaints.. and there are plenty.

Non hybrid Platinum without any other options or port installed stuff is certainly the best value.

I have the platinum but if you want the locking gas filler I believe the 1794 has it.
