I want to get some opinions on something I notice today. Shortly after starting up the truck, maybe a mile and a half down the road I went to merge on to a highway and noticed a cloud of white smoke coming from the tailpipe. After that I noticed every time I accelerated the oil pressure increased. I took the next exit and took backroads the rest of the way home, taking it easy but still experiencing the oil pressure increases anytime I gave it gas. Has anyone else experienced this?

@Eurodriver Thank you for the response. The truck hasn’t done that previously and it’s not that cold out here. I hope you’re right though and it’s nothing.

Mone has done it too, mines just some steam coming out the exhaust but it's pretty alarming when it does it the first time. We roll steam not coal I guess.

I'd be concerned if your oil pressure doesn't increase when you accelerate...

Check dipstick for overfilled oil. Also, have you used seafoam lately?

@redrdr67 no seafoam and it’s been about 1,500 miles since the last oil change but I will take a look in the morning.

Normal, your oil pressure changes with acceleration. Just like an air cooled Porsche does. It is a real time gauge. Not the same as most other models and years.

The condensation in your exhaust blew out and that is why you noticed the white smoke.

If it was blue smoke, then get concerned.

Yep. When I first noticed that I was alarmed. Now I enjoy it. It’s condensation. After the first blow it won’t happen again while warm.

I had a turbo go bad one time on F250 SD diesel work truck. It did blow oil smoke out exhaust. I was bad too. It would fill up a shop with oil smoke very quick. But what you are talking about is not case.
