This soft folding tonneau cover was on my truck when I purchased it. I like it, but removal is crazy. The front latch at the cab, can’t be loosened or tightened with the rail latch on the truck bed inside. The 3 nub tightening screw hits the rail. It’s a little loose and will slide, but is very much a pain to deal with.

i spoke with people at Realteuck, and they have now sent me to the manufacturer. Was there some adapter that was not used when whoever installed it?

    Thanks for any advice.

When I bought that exact cover there was a specific mounting kit for Tundra beds with the bed rail system. In fact all the cover companies asked if the truck had the bed rails. Mine ties directly into that and hasn't budged even in the highest winds.
I think it was basically the same cover and just came with extra brackets and set of steps to make it work with the rail.

Can you take a picture of the attachment bracket for up front near the bed?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Bracket for quick release in rear.
The circle shows a silver slide block that goes into the bed rail and is tightened up with the torx screws after sliding the end cap off at the arrow. You have to first slide out the factory bed rail adjustable tow strap then first put in the slides for the front bracket up by the cab, then slide the tow strap holder back in then the rear bracket slide.
The second picture is the forward bracket and safety strap up by cab.
Third picture is bracket on the rail. Front and rear are the same style brackets.
Unfortunately there is no part number for the bracket kit listed in my instructions, but I imagine it must be available from gator.

Thanks. That would definitely work much better for sure. Whoever put these on my truck didn’t order the correct brackets also. I get by fine on the rear quick clamps to the factory rail. It’s a little finally to hold at the right angle. I can’t tighten the knobs in the back as they hit the rail when trying to turn them.

I guess I may just stick with my version I have now. I cut the knobs open to get the lock nuts out of them and am using a large fender washer to tighten up with a 11mm deep well socket. It’s very secure. I just need to use my drill impact and socket to remove fully.
