I'm not one to read into things, but I can sense a tone in there that this has been exhaustively discussed already.

 

I went with the OE grille, then a Diode Dynamics light bar and I am trying the Rave grille lights. They have been good but they are different and a bit brighter than the OE ones which I might end up putting in afterall.

just waiting till the new engine is installed.

 

Well, I know someone who might be willing to buy them off of you...I've been spending too much money on this truck already and am obviously trying to cut corner with the lighting for now. I want the good stuff eventually, but for now I just need a placeholder so there isn't a big hole in my grille.

 

yes, the china/rave bar are the same. Abysmal output when compared with a true light bar. Evident by the teeny tiny lead wires coming from the bar itself. The ambers are not like oem and the orange lens will fade. I was one of/the first to install the knock off lights when they first came out and before they made the metal brackets for it and had them installed for the longest time before I upgraded. Get oem markers and a true lightbar in the grille if you want quality/useful output. The china bar looks fine and fits good on an oem grille...Im sure itll work even better on a chinesium grille but idk how the fit n finish compares.

 

I actually knew you were an OG because I went back into the 2022 threads and saw you there. Appreciate the sage advice. I do have the OEM grille coming, but I might as well just hold off on installing it until I can have quality all around. Enable my laziness please (I know there are threads on here about this topic): can I install the lights after installing the grille, (i.e., without removing the grille)?

 

the markers? probably. Bar might be tricky if you have the shutter things...that one I think requires grille removal for sure

 

Ah yes, I forgot about that thing. For sure will need to remove it, but it looks like a simple project.
