Why does graphene improve the performance of ceramic coatings?

I like the confidence that chemist speaks with. I also like their advanced graphene coating. I’ve got it on both of our daily’s. Great improvement over their product that I used on them 5 years ago.

 

I drive past them on my way to/from work so I stay pretty well stocked to my wife’s dismay.

 

Not here to stir the pot. Tests I've seen, not specific to Adams, show all the benefits claimed about graphene is bullshit. Most of the products are still primarily SIO2 based. Also actual graphene is very expensive to make. Most use Graphene oxide which doesn't have the same benefits of pure graphene.

B&G is in essence a white label blender. They do custom blends for specific brands but it is generally the same stuff across multiple labels. As stated in the video there is some nuance in the ingredients and their quantities. It is a mixed in terms of real world benefits.

ScottHD runs a YT channel that does durability tests on coatings, I don't think Adams met it's 9 year durability claims subjected to wash and dry cycles. Demetri's Garage is another channel that reviewed this product as well. Not sure if Apex Detail has a review.

This is a reoccurring contentious topic on one of the detailer subreddits. I'll see if I can find one of the frequently posted articles that breaks down why graphenes are still not quite there yet and are generally passed of as snake oil. This is not to say the Adam's product is not any good compared to other products on the market.
