Found a set of newer 4 runner rims for $400, no tires. Was wondering if this is a good deal, and if they should fit fine on a 1st gen.

As long as they are 6 lug and off of a 4-runner they will fit just fine on a 1st gen.

They will, but that’s not the best deal. You can usually find take offs with tires for 4-500$.
I’m guessing they are the TRD off road/trail wheels; and everyone selling them thinks they have a hi gold content.
    I’d keep looking

There are a million (ok, maybe only a thousand...) styles of 4 runner wheels, and different sizes / diameters. They will all fit. But a "good deal?" Depends. Post up a pic. Some are more valuable than others. TRD Off roads = you can do better on price as @FrenchToasty says. TRD SEMA? Buy them now if they are new...

$75-$100 per rim is pretty good for “like new” condition. Do they come with the center caps? Yes, they will fit.

Looks great. Do you have spacers? My 1st gen Sequoia wheels have some baked on brake dust and I'd like to ditch them and pick up some of these take-offs I see on craigslist.

Here they are, rubberless. I payed 20$ for one with a decent AT tire with 50%+ tread!!!

They were just the TRD Offroad, nothing fancy. Decided against getting them. Whenever I do get newer rims, I would rather just go aftermarket. Im only rocking with 2WD anyway so whatever I get is going to be for looks lol
