Window exploded!!

Driving home yesterday from work and my window exploded. No evidence of a rock or bullet. Anyone have this happen? Never in my life has this happened.

 

Only when my neighbor hit a flying full grown goose at 85 MPH.

 

My wife's back window in her 4Runner exploded one time. She thought she had been shot at. After some research, I found that it happens in tempered glass. If there is an impurity in it from manufacturing it can happen or if it gets pressure in just the wrong spot it can happen. A couple years later we put our daughter to bed and were sitting in our living room and all of a sudden we heard a something and my daughter started crying. Went in her room and the piece of glass that covered her dresser had exploded and was in a million pieces all over her room.

Had that happen on an old ZJ Jeep on a very cold morning.

 

One time I was drinking a glass of milk and about 20 min later the bottom part of the glass cup exploded into about 100 pieces of glass shards and ice cold milk landed on my junk. If it wasn't for my wife I don't know how I would have cleaned that up without hurting myself.

 

Happened to my brothers civic driving on the highway. Crazy random shit

 

Spontaneous breakage happens with tempered glass turn it into your insurance and move on.

 

You rocking some 18" subs behind the seat?!

 

Happened to me years ago. Drivers side window in my Taurus. Driving along on freeway with nobody else around.
