Does anyone have suggestions for window rain deflectors for 2016 Tundra Supercab? I have seen the "stick on" type and the "channel mount". Any feedback on these?
    Thanks

channel mount for sure. The stick on does not look at clean and will leave marks on the truck. I have AVS brand in channel and like them. Any of them however will increase wind noise some, so be aware. I dont like the wind noise, but had to have them because where I live it gets HOT and I have a black truck!

I have the avs stick on and never had a problem. There are some slimline versions but I have not used them. I had issues with my Tacoma with auto up windows and the in channel forced the window back done. Just my experience.

I have in channel AVS. I like them a lot. Stick on looks cheesy. Weather tech makes in channel too but cost a lot more.

It gets hot in the summer here so I usually crack the windows down a bit when parked and the visors help prevent rain from entering. I mostly drive with windows up and I don't notice any extra wind noise.

I've been very happy with the WeatherTech deflectors; they're channel mount.

Bought a set of in channel off Ebay. Made in Russia but had more coverage than AVS, Weather Tec. Cost way less and on for six months with NO issues.

I've never used in-channel, because I heard several folks talk about window operation issues. After reading this thread, I'm beginning to think that I may have a misplaced opinion.

I want window guards, but I'm scared of in-channel, and hate the look of stick on. All of you in-channel folks are truly happy?

That's why I didn't put them on my Tacoma, went with the stick on. Pretty sure I saw all the in-channel hate on the Taco forums back in the early 2010s. Out of curiosity, what was the issue exactly? After auto up, they'd go back down?

They squeak a little when the glass hits the plastic but its not a deal breaker for me, I like them.

Make sure to do the cardboard trick during install and keep it there for the duration of the cure. The video I posted above shows it. This should help make sure there are no window operation conflicts. I didn’t watch the video til after my install and wished I would have. Even so I rarely have any window operation issues.

I could never get the window to stay up. It would go to the top “feel resistance” and go right back down.
I like the look and my tundra doesn’t have auto up but I just wasn’t going to test it.

I had the in-channel Weather tech for about 3 years, but changes to the AVS low profile ! IMHO the the AVS look much cleaner!

    Very little so far
    I have the weathertech.

Added bonus - they push the wind away from the truck a bit, which means my lab can keep his head out the window at 65 mph without his eyes and lips being blown off. Before, he would voluntarily pull his head back inside at around 45 mph.
