Thought some of you might find this interesting. Both are SR5's RWD. The first four is the TSS I bought back in December. The last four is the TRD Sport that I just traded for 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Definitely supports my statement in another thread about the TSS package being way overpriced...IMO of course. My only regret on the TRD Sport is not asking if they could have deleted the tube steps.

TSS package is a big ripoff. Just a money maker for gulf states

Recently bought my tss used. Wheels are acceptable for the time being and I’m too lazy to remove bed decals. Everything else is gone, but it’s still a tundra and that makes me happy.

The wheels look great when clean IMO...but it was almost as if the designer said "hey lets make a fantastic looking rim that is almost impossible to clean". I could never get those little "slots" where the spokes meet the out rim clean...pre-soak, brush, pushing a thin rag in there with my fingers...nothing worked. (I figured a q-tip would be next up). I only had that truck for 5 months but I could see the dirt building up in there.

Yeah they are a bear to keep clean. Even worse, I got sunk to the frame rails while duck hunting last year and the mud did not do them any favors. I went straight to the car wash and pressure washed, but they are almost a color match to my MGM truck now. They still look great wet. I’ll figure out something, even if it’s black hydro dip.

    Here is my 2014.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have considered a Limited or Platinum.
But even with that, I bought a 2014 in December of 2014 to get year end rebates and 0% financing so selection was limited.

The only TSS item I have left is the wheels.
I like them, but not so much the offset.

I even replaced the bolt on exhaust tip with a welded on tip.
Removed the TSS decal off the bed the day I got it home..

The wheels look great when clean, polished mine a couple months ago..
    From this to this..

They are kind of a b!tch to clean, but I'm a clean freak so I don't mind.
Q-tips for the fake rivet holes..:D

what did you use to polish them? I read on here somewhere that a mild soap was the only thing recommended but it ain’t cutting it.

Absolutely. My truck stays dirty half the time just because I hate cleaning the wheels. Literally takes me as long to clean them As it does to wash the entire rest of the truck. Been looking at some different wheels and other than weight , cleaning time is on the top of my list.

I thought the same thing on the TSS but I got a big rebate on it. I also got it for the lowest price I could negotiate on a TRD from another dealer. The tires plus the fact that I deleted the step rails made it worth it to me. The other dealer let me walk. I don't like 20" wheels but it was the only way I could get the BFGs which I absolutely needed.

Yeah there has to absolutely be a lot of negotiating capacity for the dealer in that package. I am not against it....it looks badA$$, but the price..ugh.

I used Flitz polish and a buffer ball on a drill..
Rubbed the hard to reach spots with Flitz on an old sock..
Then waxed them with meguiar's cleaner wax since I had it on hand..
It took me about 3 hours...:eek2:
