Some high quality window tint will solve that problem. Ceramic or the next one up. I live in North Florida and my truck is never very hot inside after baking in the sun 8 hours at work.

Illegal to tint Windshields in Texas.
Front windows no less that 25%, anything behind B-pillar can be blacked out.

There's an old thread about this somewhere I couldn't find it, but here's my two cents.

only $30 bucks, the fit is great so I'm happy with it .

    http://www.intro-techautomotive.com/sunshade.html

I love in Southern NM, it's constantly over 100 degrees here and this thing has held up for 2 years already.

I have my entire windshield tinted 50% but still use one of the sunshades from the dealer.

Most work, just have to remember to use them. I prefer the reflective / silver ones. I got a Covercraft for my work truck, its nice, made to fit specific vehicles. It is rigid, which I get tired of; makes harder to store.

2nd on Cover Craft. Just bought one for the truck & one for the car. Makes a noticeable difference in internal temperature, custom fit to your vehicle. Quality product, effective. The cheap auto parts store ones work, but are just so annoying to live with.

I have an old reflective roll up one I also use. Rolled up it stands in the back seat cup holder very nicely. Out of the way but in easy reach.

Well here is mine I found in a local FYE store. Surprisingly is seems to be about an inch or so too long and about an inch too high. But it does wedge into place nicely.

I have the Weathertech. It does the job, fits very well and rolls up small enough to stash behind my back seat.20190708_101806.jpg

Another vote for the Weather Tech. I have my windshield tinted at 70% but I still put my shade up when I'm not parking under cover. The tint certainly helps cut down on the interior temperatures.

For my 2018 DC, I originally bought the Intro-Tech for the '18+ models (TT-907-P), but I found that the cutout at the top was *huge*, so I went for the one for the pre-'18 models (TT-84-P). I much prefer the latter and that's what I kept. Not cheap, though, at ~$40, but cheaper than other options. I like this Intro-Tech model because it folds instead of rolling, so it's flat. I've only had it for a few months and it's just started to get hot here, but I like it so far. It also doesn't leave much gap at the edges, which is nice.

The foldable from Covercraft are about the best you are going to do,,, that be my opinion. When ever I get a new vehicle that is the first thing I get ordered.

Agreed, hands-down, the best by far, AND, you can get a color that matches your truck, which is (of course) very important.:D

    And, agreed again.

IMHO - I have the Weathertech in the Tundra and don't care for it in South Arizona. Hot to touch when rolling up and bulky when not in use. I have a folding cover in the Sorento and feel that it's far superior to the $60 Weathertech.

Could you reach behind while in the driver seat and store the covercraft under the back seat? I don't want to have to leave the driver seat to retrieve and store the shade.
