I'm getting me side windows and windshield tinted tomorrow. I've never tinted a windshield with Heads Up. Anything I need to know? Thanks.

I'm not going for the tinted "look" but to cut the UV heat. Do you think it works? Thanks

Absolutely. I have 70% installed and it makes a huge difference with very little of the 'tint' look.

hell yes it does , that’s why I got it, 80 doesn’t even really look much different than stock , really cuts down the glare too

    I have 80 on windshield
35 on front windows and pano roof
50 on rear windows and back window

    it’s awesome

yes, thats why I did it, it gets real close. If you go 35 all the way around the back look way darker, its the same level of UV protection so its just a matter of the amount of light coming in and the color match. to get it closer you'd have to go darker than 35 in the front and I cant do that here, legal is 50 and Im already a notch below that so if I go more than 35 Ill get pulled over too much

Scheduled to add Ceramic Tint first week of August. Like the idea springing for the windshield as well for full CT benefit all the way around. The shop owner showed his 4Runner with the windshield done, very clear from the inside looking out (like stock), and from outside looking into the vehicle can see the subtle darker appearance which looks great. He has his done at 70%. Thinking may go a tad lighter, perhaps 80%, only bc i'm not sure what to expect at night. Haven't fully decided yet ...

I did the 80% windshield, go for it, you will love it.

cuts down heat and glare BIG time, even at night cuts out the headlight glare

Ceramic Tint completed throughout. Windshield (70), Front Doors 50%, Rear Doors and Rear Window 70% over factory tint already ~30%. The view from inside-out light and clear; the view from outside-in darker and semi-private. Perfect. The reflection and shade tone on exterior varies depending on angle and sunlight, nice. Feels and looks factory. Very pleasant and comfortable cabin with UV blocked and heat cut in half.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
I drive a lot at night in a very rural area with a healthy elk population. How much does 80% cut down on visibility at night compared to stock?

I'm a noob on the subject as I've only had one windshield tinted. I'm in NC and a heavy wildlife area too. I can't tell the difference at night. If anything, it might cut down on glare.
Major difference in making the truck more comfortable on hot sunny days.
Also, I'm a little jumpy with dark tints in regards to LEO. I always want them to see everything from the jump if I get pulled over. The windshield tint is still clear.

Attaching a few more photos. Looks like factory, like one shade darker. 675, all six windows. Cooler more comfortable cabin

What glare? From other vehicle headlights? I really don’t have much in the way of opposing traffic, and glare doesn’t bother me very much.

More concerned about my own vision through the windshield and how far I can see/make out critters in the ditch.

LOL. Window tints cause cancer in California.

80% on our 4runner and just got 70% on the windshield of the tundra. Highly recommend if you are tinting to cut down heat. The only way someone in an oncoming vehicle could tell imo, is if they're wearing polarized sunglasses. It gives the rainbow colored effect.

Question: did any of you opt to tint the panoramic sunroof or just close the shade? I am going to do mine very soon, but still evaluating if I should do all windows or just front and windshield to gain UV protection on those and match factory color. ( I know there is no UV protection on factory tint.) Awesome pictures and advice, thanks guys!

    Just getting started...
I did every piece of glass on my truck with 3M Ceramic. 80% Windshield and Pano, 30% front, and 20% rears and back. I kept to the legal limit (Texas) on the glass but think maybe I should have gone with either 30% or 50% on the Pano for the extra heat rejection. So far I have not closed the shade on my sunroof yet, but I anticipate that changing in the next few weeks.

I did the entire truck, up earlier in this thread I have the % listed

and it does not mess up the HUD if you have that, it actually looks great with a tinted windshield
