I know there are tons of "wiper" threads but none seem to address noisy blades.

I bought new blades for the first time - Trico NeoFoam. Supposed to be one of Trico's best blades, they were $8 each on Rock Auto (plus shipping with some other stuff). A couple weeks into it now and damn are they LOUD. They sure do clean the windshield but at the top of the blade cycle every time THWAP....THWAP....THWAP. I hoped I would get used to it but a couple rains later it isn't going away and I can't turn up the radio enough to drown it out.

Is there a way to fix this or just replace the blades? I can post a video if you don't know what I'm talking about...

Get mine from any auto store, Rain X Quantum pricey but worth it IMO plus with Prestone washer fluid makes rain bead up

You need to try silicone blades like PIAA

$8 each probably not going to get great quality blades. They all wear out, UV damage mostly.

Does blade material make them less quiet or make them last longer? Noise aside...These blades are great - prob best I've ever used.

Same blades at Advance Auto are $25. Rock Auto has great prices. Bosch Icons are $15 online compared to $25+ at stores.

I agree they all wear out - that has nothing to do with the noise since these are new.

Are the blades pliable or on the stiff side?

If stiffer, I could see them being noisier. The blade making noise when changing directions. If more pliable should be quieter.
