before I pull my dash apart I'm wondering anyone may know the answer to this, a while back i was under the dash disconnecting something the previous owner wired up, flash forward my windshield wiper sprayer isn't spraying is it possible that i unplugged it while under there or does it just work off the wipers automatically? my wipers move but the pump doesn't spray the fluid before I order a new pump I want to make sure it isn't something unplugged any help is appreciated thanks

I'm not 100% sure, but I think there might be a seperate fuse for the washer pump. One might say wiper/washer and another just washer. Check the washer one. If that doesn't work, then yeah, check for something unplugged or loose wiring since that was the last thing your were messing with. Also, if the previous owner did "extra" wiring work, check all that wiring for inline fuses even if you don't think it is associated with the washer motor. When folks start messing with wiring, all bets are off.

Also worth a look to make sure the hose is intact. A thirty mouse chewed through mine before along the passenger side between the reservoir and the windshield.

Also not sure but recently had to hunt down on my wife’s 4runner why it wasn’t spraying. We put rain x green fluid in it and was too thick and gummed up a CHECK VALVE in the fluid lines under the hood insulation. If you hear the pump running and nothing coming out it could be clogged or the jet itself is clogged at windshield. All things you would t think to check but lesson learned. FYI the Toyota check valve is expensive, I bought pack of 3 from Amazon for 1/3 of Toyota price. Just something else to check if tundras have a check valve in wiper fluid lines.

Man I went down that road and tried everything, even running vinegar through it and such to no avail. The passages are small and gunks up easy, at least mine did. Amazon ones worked great so far and have spares.

    Good luck Brother!

I picked up some barbed unions and cut out the bad section. Good to go.

That's a $200 fix at the dealer. I had that happen in the spring.

My guess is he didn’t know what exactly the problem was until after. Maybe I interpreted it wrong…

I will say this i can change an alternator and small stuff like that but one thing I've learned as I've gotten older, sometimes its just easier to take it to the mechanic and save yourself some headaches Lol
