Does anyone have first hand experience with a winter windshield cover?
Trying to keep the snow and ice of the windshield as much as possible since I can't keep it in my garage.
Please let me know what you have and how well it works.
    Thanks

I picked up a cover from Sams club because it was like 7.99 or something. I park outside too.

I'm not expecting it to completely keep the windshield clear but if it can prevent the majority of the windshield from having a layer of ice/frost and snow then good enough for me.

We haven't had snow yet here in Ohio so haven't got a chance to test it out.

I've lived in winter conditions for 49y (Canada) and have never seen a windshield cover, never seen the need for one, never had a garage and actually never even heard of it before this thread.

A snow brush is standard issue up here.

After a quick Google, it looks gimmicky and unlikely to work in any serious snow or any wind. I'd be worried about rubbing and flapping against the paint in some areas.

Works well if you have someplace to put it when you pull it off the windshield. Has issues if strong winds. I prefer it on top of the wipers but it is designed to use the wipers to hold it down. I like it on top to prevent the wipers from getting ice and snow covered.

If you’re in a climate where snow frost and ice are a concern, you should be idling for a couple minutes anyway on startup to get motor and fluids to operating temperature (or close).

flip that defroster on, grab a snow brush and windshield scraper and earn that 1st or 2nd coffee.

I use a product called frost blocker from Costco, I have it on my tundra, landcruiser, and lx570. Saves some time for sure. When I do have not have it, I have a thick sheet of frost or ice which takes forever to defrost. Less than $10 at Costco is worth it. Comes with the rear view mirror cap as well.
