What's the deal with the wipers? Got a pair to put on but they aren't like normal wipers. Do I need to get special ones? What am I missing? Are there adapters?

It’s standard. Most wipers come with adapters just in case. Ive never had an issue

I noticed the same thing, just read the book at Walmart or wherever you go and buy the ones the book says. It is a diff mount but it’s easy. Btw I have a 19 DC

Most wipers come with either a universal connection or multiple connection pieces that can be swapped out to fit a specific vehicle. I agree though, that this one is different than the majority with the J-hooks.

Just switched mine to RainX...they came with adapters. You had to remove the big RAINX plastic adapter that most other models fit in and snap on a Toyota style adapter that was included. I also broke the brittle sunburned plastic clips when removing the oem blades from the arms....

Don't know. Haven't had to replace the stockers in 45,000 miles.

I always let @ARamirez73 take care of wipers, that's not something I feel comfortable doing myself :D

The stock wipers are nothing that I have ever seen before. 2 push tabs clips and a "locking" tab at top. No j anything.

Ok. Got another set of wipers, making sure there were a bunch of adapters. Wipers on. 1st set just had no adapters.

I picked up some rain-x and was scratching my ass trying to figure out how to install. No adapters included...back to Wal Marche.

Not J hooks as others mentioned. Whenever I change wipers I put some kind of protection on the windshield. Normally for me a furniture blanket because I have one handy. If you ever have a bare wiper arm slip out of your hand you will wish you had something to protect the windshield.

I put these on and after more than two years in the Carolina sun they still work great with no streaking or noise. Can’t remember what brand. Think I got them at Advance Auto. Maybe someone recognizes the brand.

These truly cannot be beat. These are NOT the Sightline's. But the true OEM's.

I had 2 complete failures with the supposed OEM Sightline wipers bought from the dealer for my son's 2011 4 Runner
The plastic locking tab would not stay down.
    They both lasted one day.
Third time the dealer said he'll put on the "upgraded" Sightline and they work perfectly.
I think there's a problem with the regular OEM Sightline wipers they sell.

Need to back to the old days when you just replaced the rubber insert. I bought some inserts for my 2009 Tacoma at the dealer and worked great. When they needed replacing the dealer wanted me to order 10 @ $8 each. I said no thanks.

Are those the part numbers for a 2020 tundra? Sparks parts have it listed for 2018 and under.

Yes! The SightLines are terrible. But the ones that come on the truck from the factory are great.
