Been having issues connecting my phone every so often. Usually happens when I start my truck in front of my house it won't connect then I will get a message Wifi Connection Interrupted. Even if I retry the connection it will try for a minute then keep failing. I figured it was because my phone is still connected to my home wifi, but it will also happen sometimes just starting my truck from wherever. Kind of annoying I sometimes have to restart my truck to get it to work, but when it is connected it works perfectly fine.
Thought about maybe getting one of those boxes but don't really wanna spend $150-200 just to use carplay.

Same. Haven’t found a solution yet. Generally, I have had luck turning the phone to airplane mode and then reconnecting. If you take the time to do it, mine has connected successfully after rebooting my iPhone 100% of the time.

My CarPlay connects within seconds of starting my truck, both wirelessly or hooked up to the USB port. It's actually been one of my favorite features of my Gen3.

Hold the volume button in for a few seconds to just restart the stereo components.

When I lose connectivity, if it doesn’t connect by itself, I go to the truck settings and choose Bluetooth and Devices, I choose my iPhone and then it gives you three choices. I choose the one that says CarPlay

If your iPhone has been restarted, but you have not "logged" back into phone with code, it will not connect to CarPlay until you unlock phone. After that it will connect fine.

I do that too, but it still fails.
