What is the latest unit folks are using to enable wireless CarPlay? Tired of the cord.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    I use the one above

    it's kinda flawless.

it only glitches near certain geo-locations.

    it's rare but it happens.

other than that - I love it.

it does what you want it to do.

Bunch of different versions made by them. Ordered the 5.0 version that appears to the latest update. On sale plus a $20 coupon from Amazon so not a bad deal. If it works I will get one for my wife’s car.

We had the 3.0 in my wife's car for about 2 years and it worked okay - it flaked out whenever there were 2 devices in the car that were both paired, even though it has a preferred order/use last connected device setting, but worked great if it was just her in the car. We just upgrade to the 5.0 last week and it's worked much better around the multiple device thing, and actually seems to connect a bit quicker than the other one.

Arrived via Amazon today. Worked great during driveway testing. I will see how it works during the drive to work tomorrow. Felt good to wind up the USB cord and tuck it in the center console. If this works well I’ll do the mod with the 90 degree connector and tuck this away.

I do. Since I started using CarPlay exclusively I have not used the armrest charger much. I will be using it again now that this is working.

    and for the record..

    My phone connects easily.

I have 2 other phones on the dongle (my 2 kids love to drive the Tundra)

when the kids are in the truck, with me, my phone connects near flawlessly. every blue moon, I have to choose my phone from the list.
