I have a 2022 Tundra 1794 with LED Tail lights. My mechanic said they is nothing listed for rear taillights on that ultimate tundra wiring. There are 5 wires in each led module and need to know what colors is for which.

    REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY..

I just posted the wiring diagrams for you, it's right above..

It tells you what wire color and what pin on the connector.

If your mechanic can't read it, find another mechanic..

Do you need me to type it out for him, or can he read a wiring diagram?

It would be nice for me a dumbass if someone can just tell me what color wire is turn signal, brake light and tailight. There is a blue wire, green wire, beige looking wire, and 2 white wires with stripes on them. It would make it much simpler instead of looking at diagram. See Pic.

Jesus fucking Christ can you or your mechanic not read a fucking wiring diagram?

Let's break down what we have here:

Looks like the left rear light which would be T4
Both sides should be the same...

Pin 1 green wire - I'm really not sure what it does unless something illuminates when the interior lights are on
Pin 2 beige wire - turn signal
Pin 3 white with black stripe - ground for the entire light -white with black stripe will always be ground on your truck
Pin 4 - not used no wire
Pin 5 lilac (blue) wire - stop/brake light
Pin 6 white with green stripe - Parking/running light

Hope that helps Brother just giving you a hard time on the first sentence.....
    Welcome to the forum...

It was speculated the green WEl wire could be for “welcome” a light up sequence as you approach the truck. I would have to study the diagrams to know if that’s true.

The 2022 is a whole new monster wiring wise but we have enough out there where people are really starting to ask electrical questions about them.

Wires that are “LA” (lavender) or LA-L (lavender/blue stripe) are aluminum wires and should not be spliced or tapped per the manuals.

I just learned it the other day myself.

side note - next week i might finally have some time to pull down the 2023 diagrams and get them uploaded to the threads. I doubt the 2024 are ready yet though.

Is there a page in the TIS that explains the abbreviations by chance? I need to study the 2022 more. I don’t own one and won’t any time soon but it would be cool to know what’s going on in there. If I remember correct the headlights are driven by the CAN bus

Yes, that is what I figured knowing nothing about Gen 3s.
It's the only logical explanation of this...

Abbreviations like what “WEL” stands for? Not directly… if you dig deep enough through the Factory Service Manuals you can find a lot of it but those are thousands of tens of thousands of pages and not really about to be downloaded well.

The colors and the info about the aluminum wires was somewhere in the intro section of the EWDs that are posted
