Y'all think I could trade my Tundra for a Sequoia?

I've had my Tundra for going on 7 years. I love it, she's a beast.
But, if I'm being honest... at this stage in my life I'd rather have a Sequoia.

Anything that I would require a truck bed for, I can just buy a trailer for now.
I'd mentioned to my wife how I'd love for someone to come along and want to trade their (2008+) Sequoia for my Tundra w/ a little bit of cash on the side and she laughed at me and said that it would never happen. She said people with SUV's usually don't want to go back to trucks.

Am I crazy for thinking this is more than possible and not some pipe dream?

So you are hoping that someone will just randomly have the Sequoia you want in a condition you are happy with who also wants exactly what you have plus is willing to give you money?

I'd say those odds are incredibly small. If you are just wanting any Sequoia in any condition, its probably slightly improved. But you are looking at a very small market that is looking for a very small market. I'd probably do this as 2 transactions, find and buy what you want and sell your truck.

But, as @Black Wolf said. Anything is possible. If you are just waiting for that perfect deal, start advertising and searching. Will never find it if you don't look.

 

Nah, I was meaning cash on my side. But yeah, I get your point.

 

Start shopping.

 

Make friends with used car dealers and get in on the repo auctions. Sell your truck privately.
