    Hi everyone!

First post, just signed up even though I have been on the forum reading and learning for years.
I was quite surprised how I couldn't find any info of these Yokos being on any tundra new or old. So now for the next person in line there will be a bit more info than what I had.

Size I got is LT285/55/20 E rated and the date code is 3024. Weight is listed at 54.4lbs per tire.

My previous AT tires were Cooper A/TW (on two different f150s), Kumho Road Venture AT51 (came on the tundra when I got it about 6.5 years ago), BFG KO2 D rated ( I put those on), and now the Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 G018.

I live in Wilson Wyoming and we get about 300+inches of snow per season. I get to drive in the snow for about 4-5 months out of the year.
I tow occasionally a 26' toy hauler (about 6,000lbs and 800 miles one way) and also a small 6x12 cargo trailer.
I drive on forest roads regularly but seldom see mud. We don't get much rain here thankfully.

I wanted something less aggressive than the KO2s were but equally capable (or better) in the snow and on ice and stable when towing. These were even less expensive though that was not the deciding factor.

Tire installer put the tires at 38 psi all the way around.
My previous tires were at 35 psi (Kumho) and 38 psi (BFG), so I bumped them up to 42 psi and just recently to 44 psi. They ride super smooth and quite and they handle the ice surprisingly well! I never had anything different than AT tires on this truck, so my milage is pretty much the same as before.

Not sure how much this matters but I have Bilstein 5100s on all four corners. Front is set at the lowest setting. Very little rake I have but with the slightly bigger tires (truck had 275/55/20s on from factory) the truck sits better and to me looks better too.

I have put about 600 miles on so far and I am super happy with my choice.
I will update this post in 6 months or so once I get more miles on.

I think any of these tires stamped with the 3PMSF logo would be great right at 100%. Getting two seasons out of them is no problem but my KO2s got me stock on the third season and I am sure the Kumhos would have been the same way.
I drive about 12k miles a year and my driving style is spirited (as in the moto world), so your results may vary.

Glad to see somebody running these - we need a Guinea pig :)

I looked closely at them a month or so ago and almost pulled the trigger on them. Hopefully they exceed your expectations. Keep us updated.

When do you think they will have the pass redone..? I know how much fun that can be in the winter…

I went up to Big Sky, MT on Thanksgiving for a little fun. Round trip is about 350 miles.
The roads were dry some places but mostly ice covered the rest of the way. Happy to say the Yokos were performing flawlessly.
The truck felt solid the whole time.
It was the first time I noticed how the tires were so quite even at 70mph that you could be whispering and someone in the back seat could easily hear you. As I mentioned before I am pretty happy with my choice and highly doubt others would have any different experience.

Considering how much effort they put in this summer to "temporarily" fix the pass I haven't heard any plans of starting all over again.

    Thanks for the update!

Can you compare them to any other tires from. Traction or noise point of view?

In my original post I listed my previous tires.
Compare to those the Yokos are the quitest.
As for traction, I don't notice any less of it than with the previous tires but again these only have a little over 1k miles at this point, so it is still too early to say.

Reply to watch for your updates.

Seriously considering these for my next set when my TOYO AT3s are done. They are about half tread now and LOUD!

My FIL also just got a set on an F-350 SRW up in MN. Since I am moving up there from TX in May, I am very curious about over time snow/ice performance.

Got another update? I've got the yoko g015s, but I'm curious if I want to upgrade to the g018s when it's time. not many posts about these tires on this forum, which I find surprising.

for what it's worth about the last gen g015s, I'm about 17k miles in and they've been great in the wet, snow, tow and road.

    Yes.
I put 3,500 miles on them so far. They virtually look brand new still and almost all those miles are in the snow. Temps were ranging from -18 degrees to now up to low 30s, so dry snow to wet snow to slush and some rain on top of that.
I can count on one hand the times I put the truck in 4HI this winter with these tires on.
    Solid choice.

Howdy! I've put less snow miles on these than usual, and haven't had the big wet storm days that really challenge tires here in the PNW.

Some other tires I used to be able to leave in 2wd for what seems like forever. Not sure with these as I have been clicking into 4wd sooner, maybe it's getting older or maybe I'm just less confident..

That being said, they have always performed fine. And I don't have any regrets.

I suspect my front hubs are a bit howly, esp on smooth asphalt at 30-40mph, this sound didn't change at all when I changed tires. So I don't think it's these but just throwing it out there as a possibility because I haven't changed out my hubs yet.

    Great info...thanks.

These are what I'm looking to switch to from Nitto Ridge Grapplers, likely in the next 3-4 months. I'm looking for something a tad less aggressive and these seem to fit the bill.

The 285/75/17 also seem to measure out at a true 34" tire. The Tundra is not a DD and does a fair amount of towing (highway and fire roads). Don't see much snow or rain here in AZ either, at least in the Valley.
