Rich people buying up the affordable houses from us normal working class wage slaves. Everything is going for well over asking price and quickly. We will own nothing and be happy is actually happening now. New vehicle prices are out of control.

Whatever this forum told me to do
I have not reached Jedi level curmudgeon level yet...but, I'm trying.

See - I could not care less how someone acts/talks in their public/private life. you be you.

HOWEVER - when I have to deal with them in an economic situation...you are best to not be a weirdo.

respect me and deal with me in a hyper-civilized manner, or you will lose my business.

I've reached the age that I will interact with you in a similar manner as that fella in the above video.

because....well....it's my world and it's my money.

It breaks my heart (annoys me) to see fine looking young folks that speak in ebonics or urban slang dialects.

it means they don't care and/or they are not aware of that self destructive behavior. Sad.

    Teach your children.

And enablers. We met a school nurse that told us about a elementary school system she works in that allows a young girl to identify as a cat. Yep. The parents even provide a litter box. If I was an educator at that school I would catch a field mouse, put it front of the "cat" and say, "Eat it."

Harsher than allowing her to totally separate from reality? I don't think so. It might even teach her parents a lesson.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    another one:

    Sirius/Xm

I had the chance to listen to my 80's channel on a buddies new truck.

    it's all compressed & flat.

are y'all old enough to remember when XM was uncompressed, sparkling sound? almost CD quality.

well, it ain't that no more.

and who pays that much for a XM subscription?
and is that ~$23/month price for 1 unit?

For the record - I'm Pandora. not much better, but the algorithm is fantastic.

Yeah, I had an add-on tuner around 2004 that I remember sounding great. I only used it a year or so and dumped it, as I was a broke college kid at the time. Then we had it in my wife's Explorer in 2017 and was wondering why it sounded like shit. The SXM phone app does have higher music quality, but that defeats the purpose of sat radio... The only reason I keep the subscription is so I have tunes when I'm out in the middle of nowhere off roading, but I'm getting closer to dropping that and relying on offline playlists on Spotify.

As far as the price, yeah that's the normal per-unit price, but you can call/chat support and they'll drop it down to around $7. Which I need to do on my wife's car. Again.
