If any 2650 Magnuson dudes want to measure their supercharger intake diameter (where the throttle body bolts up) that would be helpful for a project :D

At least that TB has a short TB shaft that doesn't stick out like the earlier GM90mm and NW103mm TB's. Why I referred to the digital referenced TB's being used. Hopefully you can clock it to avoid the location of the vacuum line on the Whipple platform.

I'll probably just jump to the FiveO 750's when the time comes. Buy once, cry once. Although I may consider getting a updated tune beforehand. Everyone seems to think the stock Magnuson one is pretty weak. Perhaps I'll give @snivilous a shot on remote tuning since our use cases are similar (primarily a tow vehicle).

I should of went with a 5 inch intake. Would of been about 4.75 in ID. I measured the TRD box and a 5 inch tube will fit. But with the tvs1900 not sure it would allow the increase in flow.

Would be cool to do a billet intake snout to open it up. Though that might be putting lipstick on a pig since it's only a 1900 still. Same idea could be used on the 2650s though since they're also bottlenecked. The Whipple is the only one truly conducive to matching a huge throttle body and intake.

I agree with this^^ though, the Whipple is the latest and greatest to walk in late to the scene...though again, patience has made them the manufacturer to beat...as much as it's great to still find parts made for "old" tech, stick with the new stuff to keep the slingshot hitting target ahead!

I feel like the Whipple’s been around for a while just no one’s taken it on. They’ve been around forever on other platforms but like anything with the tundras seems like anything is late to the game lol

    Many on the way.
If the stock Aisin TPS proves to be difficult to incorporate into a custom throttle body, Toyota may have a solution. 2003/4 Tacomas use a 4 wire TPS that is stand alone/separate from the motor. It looks to be a twin hall sensor with outputs just like the stock unit. Part # 89452-35030. Toyota doesn’t sell it, but Aisin supplies it aftermarket TPS4-35030.

I get @armyoffoo throttle body tomorrow it looks like to start cutting up. And the logical thing is to ignore building @reywcms intake and focus on that :D

I think the latest one may claim to be even more accurate. I have an older one I believe and it was pretty dead on compared to real 1/4 mile slips at the track though so I don’t see the point (within .05 seconds and .2mph.)

Does anyone know of any tricks to get the Magnuson intake to line up with the Harrop supercharger? the rubber boot has a curve in it and it seems like the harrop is shooting straight to the air box

Are you using the Harrop boot? It's straight and lines up pretty good. It does take some stretching to go over the Maggy airbox lid and needs a larger hose clamp.

Just a heads-up for FFV guys that need to reset ethanol content, this scanner does it and it's only $159. It's the least expensive one I found that could do it. (If you know of a cheaper one, let me know)

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2QMKJ6

*It'll also does all the techstream test and customize functions, so could be useful for other stuff besides ethanol.

    Question for you guys

where are you reading boost pressure and what’s your range and what measurement

I have the dash data monsters and I called banks who helped me with finding what I needed but I don’t think I’m reading the right information because boost shouldn’t exceed 15 psi right ? I’ve tied psig and psia and my range is unrealistic imho. So
I’m not sure and asking for some clarification

Did you have a boost map sensor added with that data monitor? If not, then that’s your issue. You have to a sensor and connect it to the supercharger to get boost readings.
