What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Hauled 1.5 yards of bark. Tundra was flawless. Tow/Haul mode rocks. RoadActive Suspension makes a huge difference. Ibuprofen for the sore back...

And today, I finally installed my Dode Dynamics Elite series I bought last fall. Shout out to Colton @memario1214 for the assist with a question yesterday!

 

Took a break from my kitchen remodel to swap out spark plugs today. Pretty easy job at about an hour start to finish, felt really good to spin some wrenches instead of screws for a change, it’s been too long. The old plugs didn’t look terrible, but now the truck runs incredibly smooth, I’m always reminded how much of a difference simple maintenance can make!

 

How many miles on the rig since they've been touched? Looks like some nice replacements!

 

Well today was a day!

Finally, after months of pretending to fight with it... I finally got the Antenna replaced and working! I think.... I dont actually use the radio.. but I can now!


Oh, and I guess I am excited about this too.... Kidding, they are fn mounted!!!!

 

Allegedly the dealership did a full service before I bought the truck 63k miles ago. But if they didn’t, then 123k on them. I’d like to think it’s the former, but more than likely the latter.

 

Finally did the BMC today on the front.

Went to Overland Expo West and saw a few sick Tundras. Rolled over 70k on the way home and got 16.7mpg. Drove up Friday and narrowly avoided an accident and the i17 shut down. Got a night in camping and then hit up the show.

Whoever PTUNDRA is at the C4 booth- sick build!

 

Seat jackers. Just sitting in the driveway already feels better. Not really reclined but definitely lays you back in a better, more supportive way. Looking forward to road tripping this now.

Got an arb compressor in the case

 

Made some progress on the rear bumper lights. Ran some wire and made connects with new plugs from Amazon. 1st time using these heat shrink sauder connectors. Took me 2 tries but then I understood the assignment . Have a great week all.

 

I love those cheap Amazon connectors. Almost everything in my truck has them, even factory wires I've broken

We got lost in the woods up that way too. Thought about hitting up OE but didn't want to leave...

 

Dropped the skid plates and added nylon washers to keep them from creaking. It was driving me crazy.
I also made the oil drain plug access hole larger so I could fit my hand in there.... that was also raising my blood pressure every time I did a oil change.

 

what size nylon washers did you use?

 

They are 1 1/8" round x 1/8" thick with a 3/8" hole. I had to drill a few of them out for a couple of the larger bolts.

Got the front windshield replaced due to crack in field of view. Was about 250 for the fyua ( however it’s spelled) mfg. yay!

just for future reference. If I wanted to replace my windshield and get an acoustic glass, is that an option do you know? You seem to be up on all this information so that's why I am asking you.

 

yeah I remember reading the thread on here about it, had the crack for 6 months and didn’t want to spend double. Wish me luck haha

Did you change the coil packs as well?

 

Negative, just the spark plugs.
