Done. Time to find some mud.
    Thanks for suggestions all!
I ended up sliding rock onto a 2' square piece of plywood so it would slide off the tailgate and on to the wagon.

Took it up to the cabin a couple weekends ago in search of snow. Unfortunately, we only got a little bit since it was too warm to actually stick.

Well.... it's pollen season again. So I washed the truck to try to keep the crap from congealing in the door frames, seams and window trim. It will be green again by 4pm.

I see you have the Coastal Offroad bumper. I’ve been considering that kit in the future and was wondering what you think of it.

So I discovered that my RTT was moving left to right, but not front to back. I looked into how much it would cost to order special RRT brackets and they were $120 each which is insane. I can't believe people would pay that.

So I just made my own. Took some measurements, cut, drill, deburr and done. I also marked the bolts to see if they move. So far, everything is holding up.

All the hair is from my two Aussies.

Then I mounted my ditch lights. I'm going to get some amber ones soon enough but these one are pretty damn good.

dont you have a write up or had posted more pictures somewhere of your intake mod? I'm pretty much planning to do the same thing but change up the filter

I can create something and have it up today no issue. Yeah, it's really simple and not invasive at all, meaning I didn't have to cut into anything other than plastic.

I was going back and forth on going the Safari route and I'm glad that I didn't.

I did all the research for doing the cowl snorkel about a year or so ago and I mustve seen you post on those threads with what you had done. I wanted to put the filter in the cowl but decided against it and instead I have an intake box from a 2000 Ford Windstar and I'll use that against the cowl as my filter box (got the idea from Jeep TJ guys)

Yeah I like it a lot. I personally think it's one of the cleaner looking bumpers for a tundra and it provides more clearance.
I'm not a great welder, but I took my time and it wasn't too difficult to get put together. The instructions have each step to take listed out and is easy to follow.
I did have to replace my power steering cooler since the stock one wouldn't work for me. They provide brackets to relocate the stock cooler, but the earlier tundra's have a transmission cooler in the way of where they want you to put it.

I would be mindful of any chafing that happens with metal-on-metal parts. I have my trans cooler mounted the same way and one day I discovered it was leaking due to metal on metal contact. I replaced the cooler and then I cut some thick rubber hose and used it as a bushing of sorts. Never had a problem since. I might do what you did because I feel that PS fluid gets real hot when offroading with 35s.

Here's the link where I talked about it. https://www.tundras.com/threads/transmission-oil-cooler-sweat.125277/#post-3203974

Yeah you're talking about this post: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...2nd-gen-tundra-today.68/page-472#post-3192436

So why did you decide to go with a Ford Windstar intake? What does that look like?

The factory intake is the attached picture, but itll get cut down to about half size because I wont need the factory ford MAF, reason for the new intake box is because then I can run a paper filter again (currently have a CAI) which will be nice to be better against dirt and dust and cheap/every parts store carries it. I thought about an inline filter, but those run high flow filters like a CAI, so thats a no go because same problem... and by also removing the intake from the factory location I'll have room if I want to add an air compressor or secondary battery, but I'm leaning towards the compressor route and just running a secondary battery in the bed that is solely for the fridge

This is the write up I was going to follow for cutting it down
    https://www.wranglerforum.com/threads/how-to-install-ford-windstar-intake-on-jeep-tj.2412700/

The intake tube has currently been sitting in my tool box for about a year now and I just haven't built up the motivation to do it lol

Finally got into the 70's here in SE Wisconsin today so I spent the day working on my 2010 Rock Warrior. Started with an oil change. The plastic filter housing was so cranked on, I seriously doubt the dealer I bought it from changed the filter. I bought this truck in January so I just wanted to get w/e junk oil out of it and get synthetic oil in. I switched out the plastic filter cup for the aluminum one.
Next I spent several hours with a wire brush in the drill getting rust off the frame and then I painted it over with Eastwood rust encapsulator. I made it from the lower radiator support back to the front leaf spring shackles. I will get the rest of the frame and the rear diff when I do the differential and transfer case fluids in a couple months. Hopefully this project will help me save the frame for years to come. Wisconsin winters aren't known for being friendly to cars.

Yeah a lot of fords have this style of intake box, the winstar was just what I got from the TJ people, and bonus points it doesn’t have many weird mounts/brackets coming off it that I would have to trim down

Thanks for the tip. I did add some basic foam pads in between the brackets and the cooler, but I'll keep an eye on it for leaks.

Got some good routine maintenance coming soon. Picked up some diff fluid, oil, filters, cleaners, and belts. Figured I have my first kid coming this weekend so I’d give my tundra and wife’s Nissan some love while I’m on leave from work the next few weeks!

Did the 2.5gen steering wheel swap! Looks and feels so much better than the old worn basic 2011 wheel. Nothing functions (except the cruise control) as my truck is a Grade yet, but I will be using Jeff's documentation on his build to run some wiring to the radio when I get some time.

Total cost was $500. I found a 2018 wheel for $125 that included the buttons (and cruise control) and a steering airbag for $350. Both on Ebay. Usually I see the 2014+ bags going for closer to $600 so I had to jump on this one and finally get it done.

    Hello All,
new to the forum. Thank you for letting me join this wonderful forum where I hope to get a lot more insights and knowledge on new to me Tundra.

I bought my 2007 Tundra Dual Cab limited 5.7l couple of weeks ago and so far I have made some minor modifications.
    1. Added 305/55/20 tires on stock suspension - have a bit of rubbing on extreme turns but not too bad, Will look into adding spacers or lift kit later on
    2. De chromed everything - Grill, Bumpers and badges.
    3. Switched the head light (low beam and high beam) and fog light bulbs to LEDs

Have the Tyger Fender flares on order and will install that next. I like how the flares make the truck look a bit more rugged.

I love the power of the v8 and how it rides above everyone on the freeway and look forward to being an active member of the forum.

This weekend I cleaned the interior for the second time since winter here. Added some deck foam to the drivers rear door for my dog.
Monday I got into replacing my rear bumper, from one I’ve had sitting since last fall. Broke 3 bolts off had to drill and tap them out. Makes my hitch look horrible but at least I can confidently take off the bumper again. Tapped every hole and anti size. Need to get 4 new bolts for the outer bumper braces.

All cosmetic so far see my posts in 2nd gen Black out chrome in progress….
Finally decided on some wheels, half life left on tires that came with them which are way better than what little tread i had left.
Had them powder coated matte black and left the hub center mgm and matched emblems to my grille emblem.
Need to touch up rest of grille back to black and get front bumper blacked out.
