I just googled Toyota gear oil prices and I threw up all over the wall. Where can you get Ravenol?

Redline also makes a compatible fluid for transfer case, MTLV I think? For the diffs I’d recommend 75w90 if you do any heavy towing or off-road.

The Redline is sold on Ebay. I have it in my cart for when I get ready to do the tcase fluid change.

For the diffs I just went with Valvoline 75-90 Gear oil.

Transfer case I plan to use Redline MTLV.

If your rear differential is stock, you do not have a LSD. Toyota’s “Auto LSD” in Tundras is nothing more than traction control via ABS. The differential is WFO.

The oil you’ve selected is fine. When I had stock diffs, I just ordered the whole Ravenol kit from Blauparts.com. I think it was 7 quarts of 75/85(or 90?) gear lube and 2 quarts of 75 weight MTF for the t-case. Easy peasy.

Now I run basic ass Valvoline 75/95 conventional GL-5 gear oil in the rear because Powertrax says so for the Grip Pro. I still use the Ravenol in the front and transfer case, but will start using the same Valvoline in the front as I do in the rear.

I read about every thread I could find and watched countless videos. I put the valvoline referenced above in all 3. If I didn’t live south of Houston I would not have put the slightly more viscous oil in the transfer case.

First change I used redline 75w85. This time I used Valvoline 75w90 (without LSD additive). No appreciable difference.

Valvoline 75w90. The squeeze pouches make it a lot easier as well.

The Valvoline pouches are only in 75W-90 or 140. I used them on my front diff last time and used 75W-90. Does make life easier.
